i know everyone's freaking out about simplyplural shutting down, and some beings are saying that octocon is shutting down too (though i havent seen proof of this), so i want to share some things that might help:
of course, these ideas wont replace simplyplural, octocon, or pluralkit, but they are ways of keeping track of system things that are pretty sure to not go away.
to replace groups, members, and notes, you use a google doc, or google sites. google docs added these things called tabs, where you can have a tab (say, A-Crew), and then as many sub tabs as you want (all members of A-Crew). also, those sub tabs can have sub tabs! this functions basically the same as simplyplural's groups, members, and notes. also, google sites has pages, which do the same thing.
for fields and messages, we are using subtabs of subtabs, also on google docs. so, we have a tab called "regulars", then a bunch of subtabs (each one being a regular member), and then those members have subtabs for notes, fields, and messages.
to replace the chat function of simplyplural, you can use discord. now, currently, pluralkit is not down, and i dont think it will go down. but even if it does, you could still use discord, you'd just have to specify who's talking. alternatively you could use mytter, which is a fake twitter app, and allows for pfps and uploading photos.
lastly, please get a physical journal and write in it if you can!!! no one can shut that down.
i know these dont replace all of the functionality of simplyplural and/or octocon, but i thought id share some ways we are personally coping with this, in the hopes that someone else can find it useful :)
