A telepath who's unfamiliar with plurality hears the thoughts of a system for the first time
Submitted Prompt #198
Okay so you know that trend where the main cast goes into one character's mind for a bit and finds multiple versions of them? And how canon usually plays this as some sort of ~unknowable metaphor~ but systems and allies usually identify it as evidence for plurality?
Okay yeah so take that but instead of the second half, make it so the character whose head is getting investigated is like. Wait. Why are there multiple of me. And this is how they find out they're plural.
(surprisingly, it was not the earlier TADC ask that made me think of this, although I see the connection, lol)
People afflicted with the hanahaki disease usually cough up flowers that are, in some way, significant to the one they love.
Character A is shocked at all the different types that are growing out of them -- after all, they only love one person... right?

Prompt #2,241
By pure coincidence, all of an alien species' early contacts with humanity have been with systems. This has created some misunderstandings about the general population of humanity.
Prompt #2,238
An actor decides to try method acting to practice their newest role. Given the different interpretations and forms of method acting, they're a little worried about doing it wrong, but those worries disappear when they begin feeling a much deeper understanding of their character, and become able to slip into character whenever they want.
Getting out of character is a bit harder, but surely that's just the next step they have to learn, right?
Prompt #2,242
A character cursed to be isolated and lonely creates a headmate, either on accident or hoping to circumvent the curse.
Prompt #2,237
"Yeah, I thought it was just my inner voice, too, but whenever I thought that, it would say, 'I have a name, you know.'"
Prompt #2,236
Character A has a gift (of sorts. It's better to think of it as a gift than a curse). They can come back from the dead. But every time they do, who they were at their time of death splits off from who they are when they wake back up. With every death, a new "life" begins, and their previous life slips into the background of their mind.
