Hades Aesthetic
puppy appreciation post
I'm back and ALIVE! For those who have been patient and supported me during a rough time, Thank You! For my end-of-the-year challenge, the Legendary Challenge, for Drawings 5 and 6, we got Hades and Neptune Poseidon.
Hades was inspired by Gomez Addams, his ancient Greek and Roman art, and a mixture of Italian Renaissance and Regency men's fashion. For skin color, I decided to make it a light green like Deet's from The Dark Crystal franchise. Just don't call Hades Pluto. Pluto is the family puppy of Cerberus. Hades has no idea how the Romans got that confused unless Pan or Eros decided to prank him.
Neptune Poseidon looks like his typical self still. Neptune was inspired by his ancient Greek and Roman art and his descriptions according to surviving texts and Triton from The Little Mermaid (1989). Even Neptune's trident was inspired by Triton's trident and the trident from The Return of Neptune painting by John Singleton Copley.
This may not be their final design, but I'll keep them like this for now. Now it's Hestia's and Demeter's turn!
Plutus, god of wealth (53/?)
As cold as the metals and jewels he cherishes, Plutus has a close connection to the underworld. His wealth is not a living bounty but will remain long after its owners, much like Plutus. He is not without joy, as his riches bring him happiness, but the god of wealth, like wealth itself, is loyal to no man but itself.
~I don't know if I should be putting a trigger warning for nudity because I'm going to show a piece of art, but still skip if male nudity makes u feel uncomfortable~

The ONLY mural painting Caravaggio has ever made, featuring no less than the Big Three, believed to be made in 1597. It is located in the Casino Ludovisi in Rome.
Oh gods, I just realised that Pluto the planet has a very ominous name.
Pluto started has being an official planet, until it was classified as a dwarf planet, no longer a part of the bigger, major planets. In the same way, Pluto, the roman god of the underworld was one of the most powerful gods, until he became the god of death, being sent to the underworld and almost “banished” from mount Olympus. The god Pluto wasn’t accepted among the other gods, belittled, just like the planet was among the bigger planets of the solar system. The name was a sign, an omen, a prophecy.MIND FUCK
