Here is the update which I am less than happy to give. First of all, there is some good news. I did Insanity every day, on schedule so far. I feel stronger ALREADY which I find amazing.
On Day 2, I did the Plyometric Circuit which is the only video I had ever done before (about 2 weeks ago w. a friend). I did it out of context, saw stars, drooled, and literally was immobilized the next two-three days. I took charge this time and took hot baths after the first two workouts and used a heating pad on my muscles so I don't feel too bad at all.
Day 3, Cardio Power and Resistance - yeah, this was a tough one for me. I was whipped during the workout and had to take extensive breaks to catch my breath. There was no yelling at the TV this time. I was just trying to keep up. Also realized I cannot use my Vibram shoes for this workout because I was on my tiptoes in too many of the moves in this particular video. Must bring home sneakers from the office.
Day 4, it was recovery day for fuck sake! I did one of the first moves - a scrunchy/squat hopped into a plank position and pulled a freakin' abdominal muscle - I didn't even realize I had pulled a muscle, I thought my ovary detached from my fallopian tube!! Excruciating! I did some research and iced the injury but learned that typically it is recommended that you do NO physical activity for a few days after something like this and that the next month is pretty much shelved. Day 4 ya'll. Day 4 and I have something like this happen. I'm hoping I can get through the workout today (it's 3am right now) and tomorrow and then I get my off day.... hopefully that won't cause me any more harm but it's touch and go apparently and I know there is no real way to rest your abs....
