✨ Two Years on AO3 ✨

I was a silly person who never made an account on AO3 until very recently. It'll be my 2nd anniversary in a couple days, so I thought I would take the opportunity to look back on 2025 and also share my plans for 2026 with you all 💜

(And get points for Mystery Box while I'm at it hehe)

A year into having my AO3 account, I had 11 works. Now, I am closing in on my 50th work to AO3 🎉

I made a LOT of podfics in 2025. I had done a little bit in 2024, but wasn't really considering myself a proper podficcer. When several lovely people donated money to the OFMD Craft Fair, it was a bit of a turning point for me to keep going and start doing them more regularly.

So a big THANK YOU to everyone who donated to Fandom Trumps Hate and the OFMD Craft Fair! Just from my podfics, we raised TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS 🤩

I wrote this for the OFMD Reverse Bang from DontYouTrifleMe’s ideas and wonderful art contributions. It was amazing seeing so many people subscribe and leave comments as they read along — and a bit of a shock when you are used to only getting 1 or 2 kudos on a podfic — it is so nice hearing how people relate to Stede's experiences.

My longest podfic, at just under 4 hours, was Once In Your Life by @denizbevan. If you haven't given this one a listen yet, I hope you will! It's a stand-up comedy space adventure 🚀 I did this podfic for the OFMD Big Bang, and there is a ton of gorgeous art that goes with it too thanks to Opal_autumn.

Plans For My Third Year

I have been spending my holiday break doing Mystery Box, so there is a LOT of content about to come out. The biggest and most exciting of which is a massive multivoice podfic I am leading. We are even doing music! Since the first two chapters are part of Mystery Box, they will drop soon, but I expect this to be a year-long project.

I really enjoyed raising money last year, so I am also planning on offering something this year for Fandom Trumps Hate. I have a good writing habit built up now and write most days, so once Mystery Box is over, I plan on finishing off and posting the last three straggler Kinktober fics, then it'll be time to work on another longfic! Hopefully I will keep up my drawing practice too. I am still very much a beginner, which means there is lots of progress to be made 💪

PS. I forget to hop on tumblr a lot, partly because I can't work out how to get push notifications working, so if anyone is trying to find me, maybe try Bluesky? 💙 I will notice eventually, it just might take awhile...

Podfic Stats - 2024 Edition!

I chose to track this year by when I posted (or in a few cases, privately shared or submitted a finished pod to a person or challenges). This means that some things that go into this year's total were technically done prior to 2024, but not many! This also means that some things that are done but unposted will not count toward this year (but again, not many!) Also, because I tracked by when podfics were posted rather than finished (the most reliable way for me to track; I am very bad at updating constantly when I finish something, but I can easily go thru to check when stuff was posted & update), this caused the big event months (December, August, May) to be weighted more strongly, but everything made for those events was within this year, so idk, I still think it's fun and cool.

OVERALL

I posted 481 podfics or podfic updates over the course of 2024!

Across all of that, I posted (or in a few cases, privately shared) over 141 hours of podfic!

I took part in ~30 multivoices (I lost track at some point lol)

2025 Stats Round Up!

I think every year my post is getting later and later. I can't even use VTMB as an excuse because there was actually a challenge to do this.

I recorded less this year than the past two years, as far as total length, though I posted more podfics altogether! Just plenty of drabbles for various events.

I’ve been making podfic for just over three months now (first one was posted Nov 9, 2021; today is Feb 20, 2022) and I thought it would be interesting to share my stats so far.

All the usual caveats apply, of course - podfic isn’t as popular as fic in the first place; I’m in a smaller fandom, since I only create for two specific pairings that aren’t wildly popular; and you probably shouldn’t create just for extrinsic rewards in the first place lmao

BUT I do think it’s still worth looking at (and doesn’t seem to be something I can find much info about on tumblr - discord just ain’t for me, so let’s not go there lol).

I’ve posted 22 podfics so far (no written work of my own!) and here are my AO3 stats as of today:

I embed streaming from SoundCloud for each podfic so here are those stats:

(The likes and comments are straight spam on SoundCloud, so just ignore those 🙄)

I also include links to download from Archive.org or from Google Drive on each work I post, as well as embed streaming from Archive.org (I try to give people as many options as I reasonably can for two reasons: 1) hopefully, one of these ways will work for them and 2) hopefully, if one link breaks, then there are still multiple other ways for them to access the podfic, especially years down the road).

I’m not including those stats though because Google Drive doesn’t provide me with any and also because I don’t fully understand the stats for Archive.org 😂

So, I’m just going to assume that SoundCloud includes multiple listens in the play count and maybe that evens out with the stats I don’t have/am not including lol.

I have no idea if any of these are standard numbers (or way below the norm lmao) or anything but hopefully someone finds these helpful and/or interesting. 🤗

Summer Podfic Stats!

Back in January, I said I wanted to do this monthly but then I instantly got too caught up in life. However, this summer was my most productive season yet so I thought I'd do a little stats round up for the season ~

My most productive months, tracked by posting date (rather than created date), were:

December with 24 hours, 18 minutes, and 44 seconds posted

May with 19 hours, 37 minutes, and 35 seconds posted

August with 10 hours, 38 minutes, and 5 seconds posted

What's fun for me about this is that all 3 of these were events: ITPE posted in December, Voiceteam was all of May, and August was posting for Summer Podfic Swap! I really do thrive on making things for people / in events.

My most posted category was M/M, which is unsurprising, but what DID surprise me is that Gen was very closely in second place. Around mid-year, I entered a really gen-fic focused mood, and I'm impressed with myself that I ended up with 120 Gen podfics (compared to 145 M/M ones).

My longest podfic was a multi-voice at around 10 hours:

But my second longest was a solo podfic for ITPE at around 8 hours:

Aaaand despite all of this (or perhaps because of it), one of my 2024 goals is to write more, which inevitably means podding less. I also want to work on finishing some of the WIPs I'm carrying into 2024 with me, or at least making progress on some of the longest ones that I know won't be finished any time soon.

However, instead of making Goals that I could miss out on, I had my friends brainstorm a podfic bingo with me, so I can feel accomplished when I hit on some of them by the end of the year, but not feel like I failed if I don't get them all. Some are easy, some are harder, but all of them make me excited for the year to come!

Final thanks to anyone who listened to my pods this year, especially if you commented on them! I look forward to making more, and hearing what other people enjoy about them always makes me more motivated to keep it up!

Summer Podfic Swap Stats

I have queued up so many podfics to post over the next week! Most (if not all?) are treats I made for the @summerpodficswap exchange, and if you want to skip the slow drip of pods and see what I made, you can find my series for the event HERE!

I want to try to make 1 more treat to round off my collection on an even number, but we'll see. As of right now, the breakdown is as follows:

14 Star Wars podfics 9 DC podfics, which includes 6 DC x DP crossover podfics 4 Marvel podfics, including characters from Daredevil (Netflix) & Venom (2018) 1 AFTG podfic 1 Merlin podfic 1 Leverage podfic 1 The Locked Tomb podfic

In total, I made close to / around 11 hours of audio! And, most important, I had such a blast!

Which was 5.5 hours across 5 works, a Star Wars soulmate au fix-it featuring main ships: Cody/Obi-Wan, Fox/Bail/Breha, Rex/Satine, Anakin/Padme, & Bo-Katan/The Armorer

Which was a little under 1.5 hours, a DC x Danny Phantom crossover with warnings for aftermath of torture that is a hurt/comfort found family story

My shortest pods were a handful of drabbles across the Star Wars, DC x DP, Batman, and Leverage fandoms, all around 1 mn long!

better late than never: my 2024 podfic stats round up!

things have been hectic with VTMB 2024, going back to work, and Poly*PodWeek starting up but I finally garnered the energy/attention to create my graphics! 2022 roundup | 2023 roundup

each mic = 5 podfics

One change I've already made on my 2025 spreadsheet is tracking better when I record lines for a multivoice! In 2024, if my lines weren't significant, I didn't track it. Which meant I had to search through my spreadsheet and compare it to my multivoice pseud to determine numbers & they may be a little off. This year, I am including it all!

Looking at the numbers... I podded the MOST in January [12 hours, 35 minutes, & 47 seconds]. I podded the LEAST in February [44 minutes, 35 seconds].

These trend a little bit more expected than last year's did! I definitely burnt out in February and then March/April are very busy months for me. But May is, as well, it's just that Voiceteam has me going nuts despite that. June we moved, so I didn't do much, and then July/August I'm off for break! When December rolls back around, I'm making a lot more for ITPE & VTMB.

Here are some of my "top 5" stats:

The first image shows Star Wars, DC, & Danny Phantom for my top podded fandoms but this is the further breakdown. As you can see, of my 96 Star Wars podfics, 60 were Clone Wars. Of my 93 DC podfics, 38 were DPxDC and 30 were Batman/Batfam.

@wanderingjedihistorian is once again my most podded author! Last year she tied with @blackkatmagic but blackkat fell to 4th this year. (I have already podded 8 blackkat fics in 2025, though, so I expect that to change!) @flowerparrish was 2nd this year and I was actually 3rd. I wrote a lot more this year and Perry & I collaborated to pod a lot of those. My 5th place was @theredshirtsarecoming, who is my favorite crossover author so I was surprised she wasn't higher than that!

I podded the most Teen & Up fics with General Audiences in close second. This makes sense because I by far podded the most genfic this year, as opposed to shipping fics. My M/M stat made me laugh, as I am immature. I podded 2 "other" fics, also!

I made the most fics without music but managed to use Taylor in a whopping 37 fics. My most podded for event was Voiceteam (hence the SPIKE) in May but Summer Swap (July/August) was in close second. Some of the Voiceteam fics were birthday gifts (and vice versa).

Some miscellaneous stats:

I podded 118 unique authors, with 81 of them being only podded once! I podded 55 unique fandoms, with 36 of them being only podded once. Now, in there, this does include the misc. crossovers that are tracked in the previous graphic. I used 73 different musical artists/bands - this includes "no music" and "soundtrack" - with 52 of them only being used once.

& the final graphic, which was the hardest to make. Originally I went with 20 but then I just was struggling too much so... My 25 favorite cover arts that I made for my own podfics only:
