It is done. Pariah Dark, the High Chief of the Infinite Lands and a tyrant who threw the entire continent into war has been defeated. The Ancients are currently putting out the flames he left in his wake. Finally, finally they can be at peace again.
Danny did it. Even though he's just some random fourteen-year-old, he managed to lead a whole revolution to this point. And all that he had to sacrifice is worth it to feel this sweet, sweet relief.
…What do you mean his family still isn't safe?
Or: The moment Danny realises defeating a tyrant means you become the new ruler.
I think every year my post is getting later and later. I can't even use VTMB as an excuse because there was actually a challenge to do this.
I recorded less this year than the past two years, as far as total length, though I posted more podfics altogether! Just plenty of drabbles for various events.
I continued my tracking of multivoice lines vs otherwise and then included some new tracking categories, which was fun!
My most kudosed solo podfic was Beat Him to It, which was also my longest podfic! My most kudosed collab was my @pod-together with Yuurei, which was trans!Jason Todd (I'm sorry, did I stutter when I said to shut up or?) My shortest podfic was for Pod-O-Ween, Seedless Watermelon, at 50 seconds. My first podfic posted in 2025 was a gift for @flowerparrish, another year has gone by. Somewhere in the middle (I went roughly based on my spreadsheet) was my recording of spirited back (whether you like it or not). And the final one I posted was a podfic collab between myself & Yuurei of a crack-y Fox/Quinlan fic, Once More for Emphasis!
This year, I recorded the most in May (10 hours, 44 minutes, 24 seconds) likely because of Voiceteam & preparing for @flowerparrish's birthday! I recorded the least in April (as in 0) which made sense. It was my 30th birthday and I had some complex things happening mental health wise as well.
I got top surgery in June which impacted how much I wound up making for Summer Swap this year. As you can see, the further out from surgery in the summer, the more I was able to complete. I teach so September always has a dip but then I went ham for Pod-O-Ween. As always, ITPE & VTMB bump me up quite a bit.
My most podded fandom overall was DC (122) but once you break it down into sub-fandoms, it was Clone Wars at 45 podfics! Batfam was literally a close second with only one less. The surprising one was #5, Supernatural, with 21 podfics. Why? Well... I started recording SPN podfics in October so for it to bump up that high was a surprise! Hyperfixation does that to ya.
My top 5 authors were no surprise. Myself at number 2 was a bit but I wound up writing a lot of drabbles to record for different events! @wanderingjedihistorian & @blackkatmagic tend to flip flop in years for who reaches my #1 most podded. Having @flowerparrish tie with Wander was lovely! Yuurei and I collabed a lot this year. And, of course, I pod many Zia drabbles. Thank you, @theredshirtsarecoming, for being such a wonderful author.
This year General Audiences fics beat out Teen & Up fics by quite a bit! I recorded a lot of genfic, which often winds up being rated G, so it makes a lot of sense. I'm very happy with how many "Multi" fics I recorded!
Once again, I recorded the most fics without using music & then Taylor Swift was my top recorded artist. In fact, the artists for my top 5 did not shift positions at all from 2024!
I went quite ham this year for Pod-O-Ween making it my number one event podficced for and pushing Voiceteam down to #2.
For my miscellaneous stats, this was super fun to see! I recorded 174 unique authors and 133 of those were only podded once (76%). So many new people! I podded 72 total fandoms and 32 of them were podded only once (44%). Out of the 69 (nice) different musical artists/groups/types I used, 48 of those were only used once (70%).

Picking these was once again so hard!! I make covers for everything I podfic, big or small, so to narrow that down is a feat. I love how different they all feel from one another in this graphic, though, and the creative decisions behind some of these were so fun to reflect on.
Changes from 2024 to 2025 in my tracking:
Started tracking the exact work I put into each podfic (in 2026, I am considering adding a 'written & recorded' in so I know how often I specifically sat down to write something to record it/post together).
Started breaking down Star Wars & DC even more. I was just tracking crossovers within DC but I pod within two sub-fandoms of crossovers (Danny Phantom, Marvel) that truly require their own spots. Also added a way to track specifically SWxDC!
Started tracking if something is posted to AO3 or not. This will hopefully help me to not miss out on posting things!
Started using a "not applicable" category for music to hopefully not skew my data too much towards artists others use! This is for multivoices I contribute to.
I really only met my 2025 resolution to pod more of @wanderingjedihistorian's "Here There Be Dragons" series. In 2025, I recorded/posted 5 more installments in the series! While I did record some chapters for multichapter things, I continued to let my anxiety about posting them hold me back.
So, this year, I stole an idea from @carcrash429 of making a resolution bingo! I included things that felt much easier to hit. Less specificity to some goals but more to others. A nebulous "no more anxiety about X" does not help.
Some of these are not podfic related (reading books, tattoos, visiting @flowerparrish, writing) but all are fandom related! I set a low number goal regarding series (all three are written by @wanderingjedihistorian of course). I actually have like 3 Destiel Hallmark podfics bookmarked. The spot was created with one in particular in mind but if I can't get to it, there's shorter ones!

As a fun random stats thing, I took a look at my podfic tags since I started podding in 2022. This is just on my solo podfic pseud (some of my podfics are not yet posted as they are for future events and obviously things recorded/posted in 2026 are shifting things on here already):

But my top-podded fandom is indeed Clone Wars (216). But then compared to that, my top podded character is Jason Todd (120). So... the majority of my Batfam podfics lol. And then Codywan (69, nice) matches my top podded fandom well!
I don’t track individual chapters for fandom/author/music stats. I don’t track based on when I post, I tracked based on when it was recorded! I have considered tracking individual chapters for fandom/author/music stats but then it would skew my numbers in my stats when I want to compare to previous years. And my autistic ass cannot handle that change.
