They’d been playing this same game for weeks now. It was an old game, one long and complicated and played almost exclusively on Alderaan; as far as Poe knew, Leia hadn’t taught anyone else, and maybe that made him feel a little more special than he had any right to. Karé gave him shit for it at every opportunity, calling it “Resistace-sanctioned bonding time”, which made Jess smirk and Snap laugh.

Poe was pretty sure she was just jealous.
