The fact that he likened being drunk to "having a magical sign in him doing its work" always made me think that Fai has gotten drunk/high off of magic before (which gives me some serious BtVS!Willow vibes). Also I don't think either of them are very drunk at all here. I'm pretty sure they're mostly if not completely sober.

I have to agree with you about the drunk thing. Both of Kurogane and Fai seem to have extreme resilience to alcohol in all situations (Outo not included), and their control over themselves in the next few pages reinforces the fact that they’re not as drunk as Fai lets on. That being said I can absolutely see Fai as the kind of person who gets in the ‘drunk mood’ and, in feeding off the happy atmosphere, easily act more drunk than he ever is. He would be a master of that. It also comes with the added bonus that you could turn it off at the flip of a switch, which I think he would appreciate, considering whatever his backstory might be. 

Add in the BtVS!Willow parallel (and what happens with her at the end of Season 6) and there is a really long list of reasons why Fai never lets himself (or can’t?) get as drunk as he actually acts.

the embarrassing thing tho is that since they’re younger they’re probably at the point in their development they were in from like. hanshin or something and only at the end of ccs would they be at the reunin-at-nihon level

but yeah honestly fai is totally ccs-syaoran’s ideal guy...... and kurogane would be a lot like touya sakura would feel like she ended up with another brother

KuroFai (AU or canon) Fai hears Kurogane singing christmas carols to himself and even though it's kinda quiet and under his breath he's still a great singer and Fai's a bit enraptured. Bonus points for Fai listening in and getting all blushy and Kurogane finishing the song and asking if Fai has any requests (Fai thought he hadn't been noticed)

Decided to make it a Horitsuba story, hope you don’t mind ^-^ Hope you don’t feel tricked by this one XD

The science teacher had heard it first when he was busy correcting some tests. Fay had his desk just beside Kurogane’s and because the physical education Teacher had not been in the holiday spirit so far, he decides first that the longing for the season was playing tricks on his head.

However, when he’s done hearing about all the 12 days of Christmas, he was starting to understand that either he was going insane, or Kurogane was.  He finds himself sneaking looks over at his co-worker, which were busy planning the classes before the Christmas vacation.

Ah, no good. Kurogane were looking so adorable when he were looking so serious but still singing so content to himself. He already knew from when he taped him that he was a good singer, but it would never stop surprising him.

The science teacher starts gnawing at his pencil, as he were unable to stop looking at Kurogane, who now starts humming on ‘Jingle Bells’. Could it be that Kurogane actually looked as much forward to the holiday as other normal mortals? Could it be that he was silently hinting to him that he wanted more Christmas spirit?! He would step it up then! To make Kurogane’s inner child happier!

He wondered how Kurogane’s sweet voice would be in different situations. A plotting smile on his lips, as he keeps staring at the growingly nervous Kurogane. Did the blushing idiot really think he did not see him try to seduce him by gnawing a pencil apart? Who did that?!

Slowly Kurogane finishes the last of his list, and as he finishes the last carol, he gets abruptly up, and look at the startled Fay. “Have any requests?”

Panic in the blonde’s face, as he had not thought he had noticed him listening. Then the panic sets in and scrambles his brain as he tries to figure out a good answer. However, in the end, his earlier thoughts comes back to haunt him, and produces an answer to come from his lips before his brain censored it.

“You.”

this is for a prompt at the clampkink meme (a SFW one) where Fai wants to know the story behind Kurogane’s scars

He didn’t remember the first few intense battles against assassins. As a young man still shaken and angered by his losses, Kurogane could only see red and fell victim to the paralyzed, violent mindset. The problem was that he missed more than he intended to, and thus received vicious injuries as a result. Not wanting to suffer from more scars, he worked harder to control his emotions. It was part of his training after all.
