Happy Kinktober day 16! This fic started as a prompt fic ages and ages ago, and I expanded it into full-blown porn for Kinktober.

Another sentence prompt: “I’m sure we can find someplace for her to stay."

Everyone turns to look at Alex in surprise, and he doesn’t blame them. Out of all of them, he’s the least likely to immediately agree to take in a child they’ve never met, let alone the product of one of his boyfriends’ drunken infidelity (which he has since been forgiven for, but still.)

But he had taken one look at the scared, shaking four-year-old clinging to Bobby like her life depended on it— Carrie, the note had said— and he’d immediately known that they couldn’t turn her away, even if their shitty apartment was already too small for the four of them.

“Really?” Bobby asks quietly, wincing at the way his voice cracks.

“Yeah,” Luke agrees. “Of course we can, Bobbers. She’s family.”

It’s something about watching Bobby come alive shrouded in smoke and darkness and the echoes of their laughter that feels like prayer, and something about how watching Reggie jokingly flirt with his red-eyed reflection as though he hasn’t spent his whole life hating it that feels like absolution, and something about how watching Alex blow lazy smoke rings in the garage on a lazy Thursday afternoon worth a lazy smile that makes Luke finally understand how God could look at this absolute hellhole of a planet and decide it was good.
