It's not fair. Steven understands, but that doesn't make it right. One measly lawsuit, and the whole place gets shut down? He had actually been on the PUAUAMA's side until now, but they've taken things too far.
He's been sour since the news came in, and his bad mood only worsened when he was told that the owner had decided to resell the attractions-- to a casino of all places.
Faz. Ent. lost its commitment to the original founding values of the franchise a long time ago, but this is a new low. Freddy's is supposed to be for kids, for god's sake; what, is this "Lawrence Laffer" planning to set up a children's area so parents can go gamble their savings away without having to deal with their little ones? Or worse, does this guy expect the animatronics to entertain adults? The whole thing is ridiculous.
Steven forces his scowl off his face as his crew finishes unboxing Rockstar Bonnie. This whole change must be terribly confusing for the poor animatronics; it won't do for them to see their manager visibly upset.
He plasters on a fake, practiced smile, and just in time, too; a representative from the casino is weaving their way through the moving crew, no doubt coming to inspect the haul before the attractions are permanently installed. Steven takes in the man's attire and expression-- the same sort of expression that Bell's seen on half a dozen corporate big-wigs before, the kind that lets everyone know that you're just too important to be bothered with little things like stress or anxiety. This must be Mr. Laffer himself.
"Hello, hello! Great to, uh, meet you, sir!" Steven offers his hand, resolutely ignoring his own irritation. He might not like it, but this man is the new face of this little corner of Fazbear's. ...ugh.
"We've just gotten the last of it loaded in, and we're working on getting everyone unboxed for you right now. I'm Steven. I, um, used to manage the old place? So they sent me over to make sure the transition goes smoothly. So if I can answer any questions for you, or... you know, help out at all, just let me know. We're all... thrilled... that you've decided to welcome our characters into your establishment!"
