1-Hour Study with Me / Japanese Music & 3D Art Animation / Pomodoro 25-5 / Sakura Theme
Today I prepared a special 1-hour study video with beautiful Japanese music. During the focus sessions, you will enjoy traditional Japanese melodies that create a peaceful atmosphere, and during the breaks, you can relax your mind. We are following the Pomodoro technique with two 25-minute focus sessions and 5-minute breaks for a balanced and productive study experience.🌸

This video is designed to help you focus more easily and bring a fresh vibe to your study environment. I’m here to boost your productivity with the calm and serenity of traditional Japanese music. In all my videos, I work with a wonderful 3D artist who creates the opening and break scenes. However, in this video, we are watching a special animation entirely made from their work. The scene perfectly captures the mood and spirit I wanted to share, and it was crafted with great care and dedication.

This week, I tried the Pomodoro method for the first time, where you study/work for 25 minutes and then take a 5 minute break. After 4 "Pomodoro's", you take a longer break. I was excited to see if it would really help me to efficiently study and manage time. This was my planning for today:
In the beginning it seemed to work, but as my alarm indicated that the first 25 minutes were up, I was kind of frustrated that it was such a short session. In 25 minutes, I can maybe manage to read 1 or 1,5 pages of an academic article. This resulted in having to use three and a half sessions to read about half of the article (I read the first half yesterday already). Personally, I think reading for uni is more efficient if I can read for an hour straight, because now I constantly got interrupted by my alarm and had to stop reading in the middle of the text. This is just a personal preference when it comes to reading. Regarding studying, the Pomodoro method is useful, as you can read your notes with full concentration for 25 minutes and then give your brain a well-deserved break for 5.

Trying the Pomodor Technique. I'll work solids on my project for 25 minutes, and then take a 5 minute break. I'll repeat this 3 times. I'll do this once in the morning and then in the afternoon. . . . #pomodoro #pomodorotechnique #pomodoromethod #timeblocking https://www.instagram.com/p/Cl1FtkxupZw/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
Keeping track of your up time - the Tomato Playlist
In a previous post I paraphrased this great advice from Ice Cube, "Check yo self before you wreck yo self." This saying is helpful to me, when I remember to check myself. But I've done a lot of wrecking myself recently. I've been feeling slightly better, which encourages me to stay up and moving longer than my body can handle. So I came up with something to warn me when I should sit down - the Tomato Playlist.
Last night I packed for an event this weekend. I'll be hanging out with tons of friends from all over the country, dressing up for different
This is loosely inspired by the the Pomodoro Method(™), where you do tasks in blocks of time. It's name is based on the kitchen timer on the picture. I knew if I set a timer to go off when I should stop doing something I'd just get frustrated, so I came up wit the Tomato Playlist. This is a set of songs I choose that last the length of time that my body has proven to be ok with. What I mean by that is if I'm moving that long the additional pain I suffer is not too bad. I turn on the playlist and when it ends I know I need to sit down. (This is also clearly inspired by musical chairs).
For my Tomato Playlists I try to choose an upbeat song to get me going to start, fun and happy songs for the middle, and a song about slowing down or relaxing at the end. When that song starts I need to start winding up what I'm doing. It also is a gentle end to the up time, reminding me that stopping is taking care of myself.
I'm using them often so I have four I can rotate through. The beauty of this technique is that I can add more songs as my body can tolerate more movement. I can also make ones for the amount of time I can sit up without pain consequences, which is useful for sitting up hobbies (one of which is taking self portraits to promote this blog).
Before I list my songs I'll mention that this is the opposite of mindfully checking in with my body. I wish that that technique worked better for me right now, but my body has started not giving me warning pain until things are bad enough that it's in crisis - when I'm moving.
The first Tomato Playlist (Pomodoro(™) is trademarked).
Don't Stop Me Now - Queen
Happy - Pharrell Williams
Shut Up and Dance - Walk the Moon
Mustang Sally - Wilson Pickett (cause you gotta slow mustang down.)
This one starts with a song that I think really speaks to those in #chroniclife it's all about how you giving in to doing what you feel like can cause problems later.
My Legs - Dragonette
Roar - Katy Perry
Good To Be Alive (Hallelujah) - Andy Grammer
Relax, Take it Easy - Mika
This one has a theme of not letting life get you down.
Get This Party Started - Pink
Shake it Off - Taylor Swift
Wings - Little Mix
Take it Easy - The Eagles
This one starts with nostalgia. It ends with a song that might be too stimulating if you think of the lyrics.
I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles) - The Proclaimers
On Top of the World - Imagine Dragons
Best Day of My Life - American Authors
Relax - Frankie Goes To Hollywood
I think this method could also be great for kids who want to play for X more minutes. Just make sure the songs you choose make you happy.
Utilizing my @lightspeedplanner and my #pomodoro app, smashed through about 15 things on my to do list in an hour. Gotta say though, when the planner says list ONE thing in each box it is best to list ONE thing, and not 3-5 like I was trying to do before. #Productivity #LightSpeedPlanner #FocusToDoApp #PomodoroMethod #LoveAndHateThatThisWorkedSoWell
Monday Supreme. Interesting about Mondays. Many people dread Mondays, make fun, mock them. Been there myself. But then there are those among us who use Monday to kickstart their _______. Whatever _______is to them is different, of course, but it's some sort of positive goal. A diet, an exercise program, a #PomodoroMethod routine, finally writing that novel, a daily walking habit. Good things start on Monday. Happy Monday. Monday Supreme. #MondaySupreme #MondayStartsNow #EatMoveLive52
Behind the scenes production. Having trouble getting my butt to sit at the desk. Breaks on the #pomodoromethod are starting to look like this. .
