A fiery twist on classic cheddar popcorn with a blend of smoked paprika and cayenne pepper for a spicy kick. Perfect for movie nights or snacking with friends!
Ingredients: 1/2 cup popcorn kernels. 3 tablespoons unsalted butter. 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, finely grated. 1 teaspoon smoked paprika. 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper. Salt to taste.
Instructions: Pop the popcorn kernels using your preferred method. In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Stir in the smoked paprika and cayenne pepper until well combined. Place the popped popcorn in a large bowl. Drizzle the seasoned butter over the popcorn, tossing gently to coat evenly. Sprinkle the finely grated sharp cheddar cheese over the popcorn and toss again to distribute. Season with salt to taste. Spread the popcorn mixture on a baking sheet in a single layer. Bake in a preheated oven at 300F 150C for 10-15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and slightly golden, tossing once halfway through. Remove from the oven and let it cool before serving.
