This song always caught my attention from the very beginning. With that sort of western style electric riff that makes me think of Hawaii/Malibu??? And then the synth???bass??????? Somebody please correct me so I finally understand what I’m saying/trying to say... the drums have such a simple beat to it at that start as well man, and then it just switches up slightly in what I assume is the bridge???? (Seriously, please.) it’s such a bangin’ combo that sounds simple yet when combined really takes me on a journey man. (I feel like I sound like a hippie.... idek...) so props to the musicians!!! But even the singer, I love how he sings the lyrics in an atypical way that’s not just straight through. It really feels like a story is being told through the entire song. (I must confess, I still don’t understand the lyrics even after reading them like ten min ago....) B U T one doesn’t have to completely understand the music to appreciate it still 😁😁😁 Happy MusicMonday fellows~

The failure of  Pacelli to take a lead in issuing a warning to the Jews of  Europe, once the enormities were known, cannot be underestimated. The point has been summarized by Guenter Lewy: "A public denunciation of the mass murders by Pius XII, broadcast widely over the Vatican radio and read from the pulpits by the bishops, would have revealed to Jews and Christians alike what deportation to the East entailed. The Pope would have been believed, whereas the broadcasts of the Allies were often shrugged off as war propaganda."

President Roosevelt sent a personal representative to plead with Pacelli to say something clear about the extermination of the Jews.
