Cherrystar is sad (like usual)
Anyways her mom named her after cherries.
But her girlfriend Poppyfern was like "omg we're both flowers"
And when she became leader, she "became a tree". The entire thing is that all 3 named leaders before her were named after trees, its this whole thing

not related to the rest of FretClan's drama, but I really love how Ploverrain is SO deeply in love with Poppyfern, like seriously
but Poppyfern already has a very close mate in Blossomwillow, and even though he had kits with Slugstone, it looked like it was a surrogacy because Blossomwillow adopted them as her own (she's infertile? or just didn't want to be pregnant/give birth? you go queen. or not queen actually lol). so Poppyfern's no cheater, unlike his whole mess of a parentage (bio-parents are Hushstripe and Peakstem; Peakstem was in love with Poppydaze/had a ons litter/affair with her but Poppydazy dumped Peakstem, and got with her mate Marshlotus, except she had suuuuper high romance with Sagonudge, who she immediately dated post Marshlotus's death)
but Poppyfern also has very high love with Ploverrain, yet, neither of them have ever made any sort of move on each other, despite their closeness (Blossomwillow has like 0 affection/etc for Ploverrain)

meanwhile Poppyfern and Blossomwillow's are all just midnight strolls and lame jokes lol (still cute tho). it's like Poppyfern and Ploverrain planned on becoming mates/had big puppy crushes on each other, but then it just never worked out. maybe neither ever confessed and the moment passed and Poppyfern fell in love with Blossomwillow...
