(Platonic) Portia (and Portly if you would be so kind) and Lesser Weasel: sharing snacks

The twins exchanged surreptitious glances, communicating without words about the pair of dark, hungry eyes trained on their ever-present bag of snacks—not hungry for otter pups, just hungry.

Offering a weasel, of all creatures, the gift of a worm or insect was almost certainly a breach of etiquette that would have made their mother furious—but then again, she had never been one to let another creature go hungry, in spite of such rules.

With that in mind, Portia held out the bag and Portly narrated, “Have one, if you like,” an offer that the surprised weasel accepted with gusto, grinning and bobbing his head in thanks as he ate.
