Alt Title: 濡れた悪魔:雨女 Hello everyone, welcome to another Yokai Bijinga Artwork. Today we are taking a look at a rather monstrous Yokai, The Ame Onna. As the her name puts it, The Ame Onna is a Yokai that appears in rain days and night. The Ame Onna is rather a malicious Yokai known for kidnapping or spirited away small children, mainly little girls. The Ame Onna would appears as an older woman soaked in rain water often licking the rain off her skin. The story goes that a mother whose child was snatched away from her would become delirious out of grief and desire after losing her child. After losing her mind, The woman would appear at night roaming the streets looking to replace what she has lost. This seems to be a rather a story to make mischievous children to behave and not to roam far away from their parents, but anyway I have my own rendition of The Ame Onna.
