Daily Affirmations⠀ ⠀ Follow @Oracleatmushin⠀ ⠀ How much time and energy do you spend resisting life?⠀ ⠀ Did you ever think about how much time you spend focusing on what you don’t want?⠀ ⠀ When you really look at the amount of time you have and how you choose to invest it a big shift can occur. When I really looked that most of my life was spent feeling how I didn’t want to feel I made changes. ⠀ ⠀ I’d like to tell you it was easy initially but it wasn’t. It seems that when we don’t consciously work on having a positive outlook on life and learning to let things go, we don’t practice it. Ironically learning to let life flow easily was initially like swimming upstream. Then I learned about acceptance.⠀ ⠀ Acceptance really is the ability to not have to like everything that’s going on in life to move forward. It is letting life carry us on its stream and being present with what we are feeling. Picture yourself in a movie theater and while you might not like all of the movie you are watching there is little you can really do about the majority of it. You can change your seat and get a different perspective, which can be helpful but at the end of the day it’s the same movie.⠀ ⠀ Learn to change the things you can and accept the things you can’t.
