To all of the FNaF fans who grew up alongside me, I ask we stop the gatekeeping. I've noticed toxicity and gatekeeping have become way too common play in the community and I think we should stop.

To the new FNaF fans who came into the fandom from the Steel Wool games onward. Hello, it's a pleasure to have you joining the fandom. Enjoy your time here <3.

Whether you grew up alongside the Classic Animatronics like myself, or emerged as the Glamrocks were taking their place on stage to kick this new era off, we are all still FNaF fans and we are united in that way, whether we joined as early as 2014 or as late as 2024.

We are all valid. And the date we joined the fandom doesn't determine that. Billions upon billions of people have had their lives changed by this series, and I am just one within a sea of voices. No one's story is invalid because of the date they joined our fanbase.

Why I'll never work full time again.

Balance is something I’ve been acquiring in all areas of my life. The conveyor belt of full time working, commuting & the constant exhaustion became very familiar & dare I say Normal to me. I tried it all, eating organic, Vitamins, blood tests, I was convinced that I was anaemic & that surely was the reason that I was tired. Of course I knew my 1hour + commute made me tired & the long 12 hour shifts, I didn’t know what else I could do? I tried to rest on days off. The penny dropped when I realised I was working all the hours under the sun going on holiday then coming back to repeat the same cycle. I was not happy. I wasn’t anaemic ! I was tired just as anyone would be working 40-50 hours a week.

I asked myself, why do I have to work full time? Who says part time work is just for mums, I deserve to look after myself, & take care of myself. So it was in that moment I said following finishing university, I would be dropping my hours to part time. The continuous striving and wearing the badge of ‘exhaustion’ & 'busy’ no longer was appealing to me. I realised I have the power to design and create my life exactly as I want which meant establishing balance in my day to day life so that holidays and vacations were no longer used as recovery & in actual fact be just that… holidays ! I’ve been in full time education or a job since I was four years old and quite frankly having peace in my life means more to me than being seen as 'busy’ or 'on my job’. So many young 20 something year olds are out here and working non stop, to achieve this 'entrepreneurial’ status, the need to be seen as ’ I made it’. You hear the expression ’ work hard, play harder’, however I no longer subscribe to that. I recognised that most people are pioneering their lives all to achieve this image that we all think is socially acceptable. The millionaire in their 20’s, the boss man or boss woman. Instagram the highlight reel has a lot to answer for. I digress however I’ve realised at 25 I’ll never ever go back to full time work. Working overtime and to the point of exhaustion is no longer my idea of success. Success to me is having time for myself every single day, & nurturing myself & my passions. Being exhausted doesn’t make you anymore important or successful, that’s bullshit. Ask yourself am I passionate about my career, or could I be spending that time pouring my energy into something that lights yourself up.
