Hey ummm, Pomni doesn't specify who "He" is, so there's a chance it's not Caine and that she may have come with someone to that building where the game is and perhaps even pressured her to put the headset on. O_O
*If she's not talking about Caine here, it'd be interesting if this other "He" turns out to be Abel. O_O
Samantha Carpenter's St. Christopher's Medal | Scream VI
in Scream VI, Sam is seen to be wearing a St. Christopher's pendent around her neck at all times.
Saint Christopher is a popular Catholic, most commonly Christian, Saint that is considered "a patron saint of travelers."
a pendant of St. Christopher is typically worn for protection during travel, strength and courage, and faith and devotion to the Catholic Church. it believed those traveling with the wearer may also be protected.
while St. Christopher's name has been removed from the Catholic Church on account that there is no evidence that he actually existed, his medal is worn by many, regardless of their religious background, and he has also been thought to protect against danger and disease.
i'm thinking it might have been possible that Sam got this medal and started to wear it when she, Tara, Mindy, and Chad planned to move to New York in hopes St. Christopher would protect them from any threats (such as another Ghostface) from following them across the country.
this also might insinuate that she and Tara came from a religious family background (alongside this picture of Tara) which is why Sam struggles so much with being accused of murder. now, i know anyone would be upset about being hated and accused and whatnot, but Sam is quick to get very worked up when she is called a murderer and/or when she is blamed for the 2022 Woodsboro murders. furthermore, she claimed to be going to therapy, because when she killed Richie, "it felt right." it is obvious that being Billy Loomis' daughter as well as suffering from a likely inherited form of psychosis as well as possible addiction, anxiety, and depression, she is not considered to be mentally stable by law, which would justify her actions. despite that, SHE KILLED RICHIE IN SELF-DEFENSE. but she seems deeply afraid and anxious having "enjoyed" the thrill of killing, which would deem her a "heavy sinner" in the eyes of a Catholic, let alone a Catholic Christian.
now, I AM NOT IN ANY WAY claiming that this is proof of Sam or any other character being religious. I DO NOT WANT TO START ANY KIND OF CONTROVERSY. as i said in the initial explanation, even non-religious people can wear a St. Christopher's pendent. being a religious individual, myself, i was just looking at what might've been from what i personally know, experience, and feel. if this comes off as offensive to anyone, kindly do not say any hurtful things or be rude. THESE ARE PURELY MY OPINIONS, THEORIES, AND OBSERVATIONS.
Okay so I lack screenshots of it, but does anyone else find it interesting that in Ocarina of Time whenever Link is going around various things are emphasized as being for the Royal Family?
Zelda's Lullaby is handed down by the Royal Family. Darunia says he expected someone from the Royal Family to appear. The Ocarina of Time works for the Royal Family. The Sun Song is designed for someone of the Royal Family to use.
It keeps coming up that Link is doing things or using things for the Royal Family. It seems like they were trying to imply that he is related to them in some way, though whether that is a sibling relationship with Zelda or not is left unclear. Even Zelda's comment upon learning Link's name "Strange, that is somehow familiar." seems to point to that.
Not saying he is related to Zelda in some way but there sure are a lot of clues to imply that all over the place.
Okay, I just had this idea hit me at work today & it’s gonna bug me if I don’t talk about it so, here I go. Please keep in mind, I haven’t actually played any of Your Boyfriend myself yet but, I have watched some let’s plays of the first day.
I know that YB’s actual name is Peter & that if you try to call him by that name he gets upset. Apparently he hates his name. I’ve been intrigued & confused by this reveal because well....”What’s so bad about that name?” But then, when I was at work today, I remembered that there is a particularly interesting nursery rhyme that goes like this:
‘Peter, Peter, pumpkin eater,
Had a wife but couldn’t keep her;
He put her in a pumpkin shell
And there he kept her very well.
Peter, Peter, pumpkin eater,
Had another and didn’t love her;
Peter learned to read and spell,
And then he loved her very well.’
When I went to look up this rhyme’s meaning, supposedly it’s about murder. Depending on the source, apparently the first part of the rhyme is either about Peter having a wife who slept around/was a prostitute & he murdered her. Or, she wanted to leave the marriage & so he murdered her for that. The pumpkin shell part is either meant to imply that he stored her corpse in a pumpkin or that the pumpkin shell is a metaphor for the brothel where Peter kept his wife prisoner and sold her body.
Granted, I’m not even sure if the creator of Your Boyfriend even was purposefully taking inspiration from this nursery rhyme or not but, I was just thinking this might be something of an explanation as to why YB/Peter doesn’t like his name. I could be wrong, but I just found it interesting.
We all know how Neo is insanely powerful but never fights seriously right?
And she's only ever backed out of two fights. Both having been to Maidens.
Why. If she can K.O someone instantly *cough* Yang *cough* and destroy their aura with one hit, would she back down from fighting anyone? She backs out of fighting Raven, even before Raven uses any fighting moves.
So either Neo is really good at reading people and gauging their fighting prowess, or she can sense Maiden powers.
Like with her fight against Cinder. She was clearly winning, yet she pulls back when Cinder is forced to show her Maiden powers.
We know literally nothing about Neo. Other than that she only ever loved one person, her one thing, Torchwick. But like. Where did Neo come from? Why is she mute? Is it selective? Because she is credited with a voice actress.
Her semblance is imagination, and she can clearly do a lot with that semblance.
Vacuo is shrouded in mystery. We know three of the four Maidens. Raven, Winter and Cinder. But. Is the fourth going to be a new character? Or has the fourth been there all along? Using her semblance to mask it, much like Raven used a grimm skull to hide it?
How else would she just know to back out of a fight against another Maiden? Why would she have to? Unless she doesn't want to reveal it? There's so much we don't know about Neo. This could just be a stupid theory that doesn't mean much. I could be completely wrong and there's another Maiden somewhere in Vacuo, but maybe I'm onto something here.
Another thing. How did she escape the grimm whale that exploded unscathed? She legit just skipped out of the wreckage with no injuries.
Theory time for the latest and greatest chapter 88 and potential future for land of the lustrous/ houseki no kuni:
(Potential spoilers if you’re not up to date with the latest chapters)
I think the ‘child’ that will be created will be a reformed phos (or a potential full human)
I base this theory or idea that the gem trapped in the ice, both on earth and the moon is phos.
I can’t fully put my thinking into words, nor do i have the current capacity to do so but here goes for a poor explanation:
Of all the gems who have been shown to have irregular inclusions that attach themselves to odd materials, phos comes out on top time and time again
phos has lost parts to both the ice flows/sea (arms/legs) and the moon (head and other bits) - this can be seen as the union between the spirits (moon/lunarians) with the ice on the moon and the flesh ( Admirabilis/sea) with the ice flows) - and then there’s the bone or gem, with phos’ physical body already on earth still moving and already a pseudo-human.
I believe phos is technically in the ice flows because of the idea of the ‘sinners’ or other gem bits being stuck inside the semi-sentient ice. There’s also the fact that phos can and does share a connection to the sea life (as shown with communication with both the Admirabilis and ice flows themselves)
And for the moon ice, phos is a precious specimen the lunarians, they are the closest thing that will ever come close to being human with all of their ‘irregularities’ compared to any of the species, whether gem, Admirabilis, or lunarian. They share the most traits of any living thing with all three races.
I’ve been thinking about the poor gem babies future for the last couple of chapters and keep coming back to the idea that phos’s transformation is not complete in the least, especially when it is safe to say there will be a 7th treasure or addition to phos before the ‘end’ for this story.
I keep coming back to the subject of sensei’s “prayer” power, A second theory of mine is that the seventh treasure will potentially be sensei’s prayer used/recreated/infused with phos. This would be the key component to bringing together/fusing all three races: the bones, the flesh, and the spirit to create an actual human. Phos is the key ingredient to the whole mix, and will be the medium used to channel everything as a mixing pot
Besides, at this point, what wouldn’t ickymea and ichikawa do to poor phos
and I highly doubt cairn will protest the idea either (if that’s the thing ickymea showed them in the plans)
Just wondering if Eliza’s hair change is being written into the show or is it b/c of the show?? If so.....does she go into the anomaly and come back out with brown hair or...????
