PICTURE THIS: Ed and Stede are back together, but not yet Back Together—Ed has convinced himself to Do The Right Thing and reject Stede's love (because Ed knows that he is Bad News), even though he Loves Stede So Much He Can Barely Stand It.

SUDDENLY, two newcomers arrive: none other than Jack Sparrow and his gentleman-turned-pirate lover, James Norrington. To Stede's dismay, Ed takes an immediate interest in Norrington. To Ed's dismay, Stede hits it right off with Jack Sparrow.

Can you imagine the comedic misunderstandings? The mutual pining of two idiots going insane with jealousy while trying to convince themselves to give it up and move on? The sweet cathartic oh-shit-it-was-you-all-along sex???

Thinking about the fact that Henry Turner spent his formative years surrounded by pirates and wizards. His honorary big brother is a wizard with a dragon for a familiar and he has never once questioned this. I'm thinking that when Douxie began to distance himself from his pirate friends and family when they started getting older it really hurt Henry who didn't understand why

Will and Douxie would spend a lot of hours onboard an anchored Flying Dutchman solemnly discussing the future. And that they're losing their family to time. They knew they would. But it still hurts

A little Henry happened to be listening when they were talking about this

And he realized that he'd never seen Douxie age
