Game dev journey... start!

In a little village of a fantasy world, a potionist apprentice has been abandoned by its master, who left the instructions to attend to The Villagers' request's in a dream. The problem is that The Master thinks himself a poet, writing down illegible recipes, making life difficult for The Apprentice.

The prototype of “The Potionist Apprentice” is now available on Itch.io!

Some of the features are:

Gather items from around The Village.

Revise The Master's annotations to solve the recipes.

Brew the recipes in the cauldron (Make sure the steps are in order).

Check the quest board to know what the villagers have requested.

Deliver the requested items into the villagers' mailbox.

Sleep the fatigue off and start a new day.

This is my first time making a game and shipping it, so this is exciting! I decided to start with just these functionalities, but I have so many ideas I’d like to implement down the line.

3 random facts:       

I grew up in England and moved to New York when I turned 16. Joined up with some people very similar to me but most of them have since died or moved elsewhere.  

I am a son of Hermes so naturally, like my cousins, I often carry some form of defense. Luckily I was blessed with the fact that a handful of gods were smitten with witches for whatever trendy reason so I’ve got a few talents.      

I’ve traveled some, seen things that are very interesting. Collected a fine amount of alcohols from where I’ve been.

power(s):

     Spell Casting - Discovered when I nicked my first spell book, found it quite interesting so I gave it a whirl. My first spell was one I see my cousin use all the time, a housework spell used to clean dishes. I worked my way up to the more complex ones. Still have plenty to learn and more books to read.

     Control of the Winds - I discovered that I’m capable of manipulating the air around me to take on whatever form or speed I like shortly after I turned nineteen when I got into a bar fight with some bloke outside of a club. Would’ve been helpful before then but I guess better late than never. 

     Enchantments and Brewing - I dabble a bit with enchantments, good luck charms and the like. Also make a mean sleeping draft to help those plagued with restless minds in the middle of the night.

hours of availability: Open for the most part. I pick up a few shifts at the pub every week but other than that, free as a bird.

3 random facts:

1) Despite being directly related to Sophia, Acelin, and Lucas, they all believe he is a tale told to scare children

2) After he turned thirty until the time of the massacre, Mael was trapped ‘in the trees’ - his mother Avril sent him through a tree into another land of existence. It was only after the tree he was sent through burned in the massacre in Toulon that he was freed.

3) He is the product of Avril Voclain and her nephew in Avril’s attempt to be the ultimate matriarch of both her own family and her sister’s. When his power proved to be unable to be controlled (or perhaps it was a pretense to send him away) he was sent by Avril to the forest between the trees. There he met other beings who helped him learn control and mastery of his craft.
