1 year with POTR…. 🎂🎊

i know i like to get sappy on here so i’ll just keep it short hehe: one year ago today, i started posting promises on the reaping!! whaaaaaat? where does the time go!!!

thank you hugs to everyone who has taken even a moment to read my work. it still boggles me that there’s people out there who are genuinely interested in reading my silly sans fic….. makes me feel a little less lonely, if i’m being honest :’)

i wish i had an update for you, but alas, my writing has been scatterbrained recently 🧠 so while i’ve been quite productive lately, it hasn’t been very chronological lmao. BUT i thought it’d be fun to share a little snippet of a scene in THIF that im quite excited/proud about?

spoilers ahead for POTR/THIF, though the conversation is vague enough that it doesn’t reveal too much. still, if you like to be surprised by new content when i post, then proceed with caution!! 🫀

CW: conversation about suicide, mature language

“i was selfish," he mumbled fervently, his words hot against your neck. "i shoulda just killed myself in that damn arena—"

"Sans!" Your hands went to your mouth, but he grabbed your wrists instead, his grip tight as he held them fast between you.

"no, listen," he pleaded. "i shoulda just died, and let you go home alone, but i didn't." Bewildered, Sans shook his head, as if shocked by his own memory. "i didn't because i was too selfish not have you."

A dampness on your skin told you how much he meant it. Voice choked, he continued: "i just wanted to go home with you, no matter what. i wanted to hold you, to have you to myself… and that's why everything is so fucked up."

Sans' hold on you tightened, like you would float away if he loosened it for even a moment. At some point—you weren't sure when—your breathing had stilled as he stole every bit of your attention.

"even now," he muttered miserably, "i'm here, even though i know it'll be… it'll be easier on you if i stayed away. but i can't."

He pulled away, his face contorted in frustration as he gripped the top of his skull tight. You slowly went to swipe away his tears, and finally Sans let you.

Like admitting a sin, he whispered, "i can't stay away from you, kid. all i want is to have you. it's selfish, and i'm sorry."

The way his shoulders deflated, the way his expression on his face crumbled—it made your chest tighten, a certain despair gripping you from his words.

"…I don't want your apology."

I forgot how much I love character design

BAM!!! I present to you: Mahogany Cookie and Wolfberry Cookie, two side characters in my phenomenal story, PRINCE OF THE REPUBLIC!!

If you read the book you’ll get to know their roles (and why wolfberry looks just like a certain consul) but summaries are: bartender in Choco Mud Town and Hollyberrian citizen.

I’ve got three more characters I wanna design. Names are: Cream Drop Cookie and Milk Choco Cookie. I’m most excited for cream drop :)

Oh trivia!! Mahogany’s tattoos are actually based on real sailor tattoos! I think he’d probably be a retired sailor (an injury maybe) and now runs a bar for sailors to crash and get a drink at
