> author's note — this is purely me going on a tangent about these powers and what i think they entail for our lovely reader in my latest mini series with our beloved conquest !! i saw some folk confused about how everything worked regarding it and i felt really bad cuz i never really did explain it properly :'-) if you have any questions, please do let me know! all the art featured here was drawn by yours truly as well
( i would also like to say that the soundtrack for this entire thing is the song i linked above, everybody go play no straight roads !! it's PEAK !!!!!!! )
YOU CAN READ PART 1 HERE.
RAMBLINGS BELOW ... ⤸
so! as we first established in my fic, you were part of the original guardians of the globe until a falling out with the immortal resulted in you completely withdrawing yourself from the team for some time now.
you were on a well deserved paid time off as the GDA technically still had you employed for your abilities.
regarding your abilities... What exactly are they?
( imagine the colours as anything you like !! i just chose blue green and yellow bc they're pretty :-) )
born with the ability to alter very sound to your will, you're able to do anything you can put your mind to. the GDA recognised that having you as an ally would be more beneficial to them rather than having you as an enemy so they decided pretty early on in discovering your powers to recruit you.
your powers are a mystery to the GDA on how they work completely as they don't have a faintest clue as to where exactly they even come from. any heavy injuries you may have sustained in the past was rapidly healed up as if you were from a different planet entirely— these powers kept you alive whether you wanted it or not.
the GDA, in an attempt to aid (control) your powers more thoroughly, they created mechanical implants within you that allows you to make holographic projections of your music. this allows you to more efficiently use your powers, switching from an upbeat energising tune that empowers your teammates to a more gentle, sleep inducing lullaby that heals virtually any wound. you can play any genre of music and have it aid those who you want to help. hell, you can even dance to the tune you make to amplify it if you'd like!
the music, once heard by those you wish to help, brings in a feeling of elation and joy, as if they could take on the world. it's sort of like a rallying cry of sorts, inspiring the hero to keep on fighting while your music gives them a literal damage and healing boost. those who have been under the influence of this music have reported feeling extra rejuvenated and happy after a tough battle that requires you to be there. though, oddly, it seems that any alien species, especially viltrumites, are affected even more than human superheroes.
( a cute little mark for reference :-D )
anyone under your melody feels influenced to do as your music says, whether that be good or bad. for you, it is mostly instinctual but sometimes emotional outbursts can cause heroes and villains alike to suffer if you so deeply desired it.
the GDA reports that you are ( supposedly ) a more supportive/defensive hero, thus deploying you when there must be crowds to be protected from any imminent dangers.
( healing spell and impenetrable sound bubble )
because of your specific niche of power, you have become extremely popular amongst the masses, even after you retired. it's become the celebrity life almost, which is the reason why in the fic you have a place away from the city for privacy and safety reasons.
so retirement was bound to happen! the stress had been getting to you for some time now and it was starting to give you early grey hairs. you were an idol of sorts to these people and that lifestyle did not suit you. it was a matter of time and you would preferred it when it didn't involve you almost dying.
if you have any questions, feel free to ask! :-D

Now I'm convinced that God!Jaskier shows up at Kaer Morhen at one point and does a few minor miracles before forcing everyone into a group hug "because you need it godsdamnit! Pardon the pun."
“Pardon the pun,” oh my goodness I’m screaming. Okay, this is far too good not to give you a snippet— it’s a little angsty but there’s a happy ending. CW for technical emotional manipulation, though nobody’s hurt by it.
Witchers suppress their emotions— but Jaskier opens them to it.
It’s Winter, which means a trip to Kaer Morhen, as it had for Jaskier when he was still alive. He still makes the trip with Geralt, as is tradition.
He remembers that the trip there was harsh and unforgiving, the path cold to the point of constant shivers, the trail rough to the point of blisters on his feet that were opened and bloodied by the time he reached the keep.
Making the trip as a god, he hardly feels the cold, only aware of it because of the snow landing on his skin, the way his breath fogged in front of him. He practically dances over the ground, feeling light and giddy with the weather swirling into a storm. Geralt, who had been forced to listen to his complaints in his life, now looks jealous as Jaskier dons his fashionable doublets usually reserved for the warmer months.
Kaer Morhen is as welcoming as ever, which is to say, not very. The people are as entertaining as they’ve ever been, Eskel, Lambert, Vesemir, Geralt, Coen, and Jaskier the attendees for the season.
“Can you do magic?” Eskel asks, because it’s a reasonable thing to ask. Reluctantly, Jaskier has to say— no, he can’t. All he knows that he can do is find purities and impurities and enhance them.
It begins a sort of experimental game— Can Jaskier make flint out of sediment rocks? (Yes) can Jaskier make steel from iron bar? (Yes) Jaskier also can’t touch the rum or moonshine, because he turns it into alcohol, water, and sugarif it touches him. He’s still working out the kinks of the new form, it’s a work in progress.
- -
Jaskier does recognize one thing he can do, fairly early on. It’s a little different than he’s used to, because it deals with people, but he can enhance emotions when they creep up into people’s hearts, until they become overwhelmed by it. When Geralt and Eskel return, blessedly uninjured and safe from dispatching a harpy nest at the beginning of the month, Vesemir cries in relief because Jaskier is happy to see them back.
“Ah, he’s probably had too many spirits,” Lambert says, patting the weepy old witcher on the shoulder awkwardly. Jaskier knows that’s not true— Some part of his aging soul can almost sense what each of his charges is doing at one time or another. He realizes he’s let his power out a little and reels it in, and the tears stop.
“Get offa me,” Vesemir grumbles to Lambert, shoving his hand off. Jaskier doesn’t say anything because he uses it so unthinkingly.
Drunken chuckles turn into full-blown howls of laughter that echo through the keep when Jaskier feels amused. Eskel and Geralt laying near each other by the fire in the library turns into full-blown cuddle piles because Jaskier feels particularly affectionate and fond of them all. Friendly Gwent matches turn into wrestling when Jaskier’s competitive spirit gets riled up.
It’s not like they go ignored, either. Oftentimes the return to normal means awkward apologies or shoves to get each other away, though they get less frequent as the season progresses. The first time Jaskier sees Coen and Lambert laying against each other his inhuman heart nearly bursts with joy. (It makes the pair of them hold each other closer and Jaskier has to pull himself back in before someone else runs in to join in the affection.
It’s at its worst when someone leaves or returns, though he hasn’t had any of them start crying again.
“Be safe,” Eskel tells Lambert, squeezing his shoulder to wish him goodbye on a Warg hunt. Jaskier’s heart aches with the tenderness, and the pair of them— in front of everyone— hug tightly. Jaskier feels a peace settle over him then, the wave over as soon as it came, but he sees the other three look down at their medallions suspiciously.
“Oh,” Jaskier says sheepishly as Vesemir raises a brow at him. He just shrugs, unsure of what to say. It’s not as though he’d done anything wrong, after all. “Sorry.” Jaskier watches Eskel and Lambert separate and he still feels that ache—
But he pushes it away.
- -
It’s the end of the winter, which means a return to the path for the witchers and Jaskier. Though their journeys will separate them for a while, Jaskier can still visit when he wants to check in, or when he’s feeling particularly worried.
The goodbye is the hardest part for him, having trained with himself to make sure his feelings don’t get in the way of their goodbye, Jaskier is fidgety with unused energy, barely-suppressed want to rain love and affection on his charges.
They’re all leaving on the same day, which is a little strange, but Jaskier accepts it— At least he doesn’t have to say goodbye more than once. Still, he can feel the thrum of suppressed emotions inside of him. Has Vesemir told them about his ability? No, Lambert at the very least would have brought it up, or they would have behaved differently around him.
“Jaskier,” Jaskier looks up from where he’s staring at his twitching hands, and sees Vesemir is holding out a hand, other arm arched in the air— A hug. He’s asking for a hug. “It’s a good time for them- us, to be emotional, I think.” Jaskier doesn’t know how to reply, he’s stricken, he has frozen his emotions with the winter and now isn’t sure if he even knows how to thaw.
“Come on, Jaskier,” Lambert says it, gives his shoulder a gentle shove. Jaskier lets out a shocked little sound.
“You knew?”
“I’ve never seen a witcher cry,” Coen says. “You’re the only thing that’s different.” Jaskier’s chest warms, and he can feel the echoing thrum of his energy, pulsing out in the immediate area, stronger after being pent up for so long. He sees Eskel stumble a little and almost winces when he remembers his sensitivity to magic— But Geralt is there immediately, helping him stand, and he sends Jaskier an encouraging smile. A smile.
Jaskier sighs, releasing the tension from his shoulders, and is immediately shocked when the snowy grass around them erupts into wildflowers. He thinks he’s going to pass out. He can see the others follow him when he falls on the ground, piling over him and hugging him, tears in their eyes, smiles on their faces, arms out for easy, affectionate embraces.
Jaskier basks in it, while the buttercups cushion their fall, and Jaskier is in one place but he is everywhere, and he feels lost, he feels pure in a way he hasn’t been in since he was just a vengeful spirit.
A continuation of this post and a in depth analysis on Nanochips and the powers they grant.
Now I know you might ba asking yourself "Who?" and that's fair considering she only appeared 3 times in canon with the 4th being a cameo in
What being the Hive Queen means
First a link to the species and what the decoy hive queen can do.
Nanochips (also known as Microchips) are living alien objects used in Ben 10: Alien Swarm by the hive. The Nanochips are tiny, mechanical in
The Decoy Queen was the main villain in the live action movie Ben 10: Alien Swarm. The Decoy Queen is very minuscule, but is still larger th
Becoming fused with the hive not only grants you a hyper adaptable von numan hivemind that's at least planetary in range, but said chips can also make damn near any tech and mimic damn near anything you want. Oh, also you're immortal unless someone destroys every single Nanochip and the fact they can become smaller than neurons makes that basically impossible. The downside of course is that you no longer have any inhibitions.*
In fact said hyper adaptability means Elena will quickly be able to stack immunities/become highly resistant to most things (it only took like 3 hits of raw Mana blasts for the chips to lol Gwen's attack in Alien Swarm after all). Once she gets a handle on her self control she can basically control the environment (since she's made buildings come to life) and swarm her foes with not only chips but clones of people and copies of Kevin's decked out car. Which is another thing she'd be able to solve, even if his car does get destroyed she'd easily be able to fix it good as new.
She'd also be the only one that'd be able to keep up with and overcome Ben's all nighters since I doubt she needs to sleep (or breath/eat/drink) now considering her body is just a Nanochip construct. Speaking of which being such she by all rights should be immune to basically any physical attack since she has basically an unlimited supply of chips.
To elaborate on what I mean by a Gwen/Cooper combo, she'd easily be able to use her chips to form shields and moveable platforms if she doesn't just outfit everyone with wearable forcefields like the one she used to contain the chips. As for Cooper she can use her chips to make any tech she wants to on the fly (and which ability should by all rights be able to basically mimic Gwen's spells since it's WoG that Magic and Tech are just diffrent ways to manipulate reality and are capable of the same stuff**). In Omniverse she'd fully take on the Gwen role (while keeping her ruthlessness/manipulation and quasi Kevin traits if the need ever arises) of the team since there's no way she's also leaving.
* This pretty unquestionably makes her powerset in the top 3 most bs in the setting considering everything it allows you to do and overcome. The other 2 of course being Anodites/Celestialsapiens and is one of the many reasons it annoys me they wasted such an interesting character and powerset.
** That is if she doesn't learn Magic herself since even if each chip has a miniscule amount of Mana inside she has basically an unlimited supply of them and thus more than enough Mana to use Magic with. She would obviously have to learn how to manipulate Mana first but she basically has an unlimited supply of time to learn new things considering she shouldn't have to sleep and she's basically immortal.
Her role in the future
I fully expect her to have mastered the Hive by the time Ben is known as the Hero of Heroes and has used them to not only make Omnitrix City (Ben 10K's home and city of operation) but has basically monopolized architecture/construction universe wide after making smart construction tech that mimics her chips and are self repairing/adapting to whatever is damaging it. So there's no need for rebuilding after super fights or constructing buildings in mind for earthquakes etc. That and she's gone gung ho on that whole solving half the problems of the human race thing but expanding it to all species so everyone's standard of living is really high.
She'd probably also have a moniker by that point but I'm blanking on what it could be. Maybe Queen of Technology?
