Earlier today I was messing around practicing some 3D work and I decided to try making a motorcycle helmet. Having seen the ones with the cat ears I decided to add them to see what it looks like. When my wife saw it she wanted me to make it fit her dolls. It is not perfect but it was fun to mess around with. :)
So I noticed while browsing that Mattel has the $300 ThingMaker at ToyFair. The framework components of this thing look Identical to my UP! Mini. The X-Axis, The Y-Axis and Bed framework are identical. So far I haven’t been able to find any information confirming this but based on the picture alone it looks like the thingmaker is based on the same design.
