Harry and Hermione are a bit too old to be running lemonade stands, but they've been running competing stands for the last three years, and neither plans to back down this summer. The entire neighborhood is egging them on and maybe hoping that this year they'll finally smooch.

I want to read a story where Harry and Hermione meet when they are just entering school. When they are about 9, they find a ritual book in the local library and they go through a wedding ritual thinking it’s fake. They get their letters and, before they meet again on the Hogwarts Express they think they wouldn’t see each other until the summer. They get to Hogwarts and the G’s come and go with Hermione not being sorted. She gets sorted as Hermione Potter and everyone is FLOORED! Harry goes through his Hogwarts years with a wife by his side and is more confident because he now has a family who loves him. It wouldn’t get to any sex stuff until 6th year at least, but there would be fluff.

Hermione has always wanted a friend, yet her experiences with other children her age jaded her for the idea of friendship and made her doubt that anyone will ever like her. On the eve of her eleventh birthday, she makes a wish with all her heart, asking for a sign: A mark that will make her identify the person she is meant to be with. She goes to sleep, not knowing that she begins to softly glow, a magical mark appearing somewhere on her body. In another house, in a cupboard under the stairs, a ten-year-old boy sleeps, none the wiser. A soft glow covered his entire body, concentrating on his scar, and without anyone knowing, his magic and soul has been cleansed, removing all impurities on him. The glow subsiding, scar on his forehead noticeably fading, another mark appeared on his body, identical to the one on Hermione's body. In a castle in Scotland, a seer makes a prophecy, unheard by anyone, prophesizing the signs of the Chosen One's Power-He-Knows-Not.

As an abused child, Harry would latch onto the first sympathetic authority figure he was given, exactly as Dumbledore had planned. What he hadn't planned on was the slightly bossy girl who had found Harry at the platform and that the boy had latched onto as she filled the role he had carefully cultivated for 10 years.

Harry Potter is so excited to finally be going to Hogwarts. Not to learn magic, but just to get out of the house. He has been raised since his parents' horrible murder by his Godfather and adopted Uncle Remus, who on their own, weren't too bad. Waking to find his hand in a bowl of water. Cling wrap over the toilet. Buckets of feathers and glue failing on him as he walked through doorways. But he was clever, he gave as good as he got. Everything went to hell, however, the day his parents returned to this earthly plane as ghosts and the Marauders rode again. There are only so many times you can take being woken at five in the morning by your dead father sitting his icy ghost butt on your face while the other Marauders giggle themselves silly in the corner. If it hadn't been for his best friend, Hermione Granger helping him get away whenever possible, Harry was fairly sure he'd have put serious effort into replicating the technology of the Ghostbusters movies.

Story opens during the first year train ride. Hermione is helping Neville Longbottom find Trevor when they come upon Harry showing off a few of his Metamorph talents to a redheaded idiot. She exclaims that she has that talent too and changes her hair and skin color to prove it. Since they have something to bond over, the two become close friends. They then discover a mutual love of reading and learning. The redhead is disgusted by this and tries his hardest to break them up before getting thrown out of the compartment. The next seven years are markedly different from canon as the two are inseparable. Because they're smarter and less reactionary, the events of each year (stone, snake, convict, etc) are handled differently. The third member of their team is Neville who has his own quiet strengths.
October 31, 1981 - Harry defeats Voldemort after his mother and father are killed. But Voldemort wasn't alone that night. Lucius Malfoy was along for the ride, and when he witnessed the destruction of the Dark Lord at the hands of a baby, everything changed for him. He and Narcissa had been trying for years to have a child but had not been successful. So Lucius decides to take Harry Potter and raise him as his own. This is how Harry James Potter becomes Draco Lucius Malfoy. What happens when Harry finds out who he really is, and who is this little muggleborn that has such an effect on him?
