Night lords Saturnine terminators Praetor Gheil the eternal monster.

One of them that have not died, because the warp powers have trapped him with in his ancient armor.

He is more like a Hel brute and not a living marine eny more and being summoned before the battle.

When the Night lords continued their dark muderus path, so was Ghil one of the first to create the cult of murder and by his side was the queen of the Araknophobia legion.

Both having the idea of taking help of the warp to spread terror in the univers and hunger for blood.

Characters pt. 1: Preator

The preator and overall leader of my alpha legion force, currently unnamed until they win a game. the conversion is based on the axe preator from the age of darkness box set, with 2 part resin used in the base for the water effect. Relatively few modifications, the shaft of their weapon is the base axe, with two of the axes blades used as the heads.

Equipped with a paragon blade, lightning claw, and plasma pistol.

Thing I was itching to try out. With both relic terminator armor, and some other terminator bits (DA Upgrade kit, DA Knights, Grey Knights + Khorn berserker helmet) and leftover DA venerable Dreadnought resin bits, I build me a ramshackle mix of an armor for a Preator. 

Tried to be neat enough, to not stand out in a Horus Heresy lineup, but non uniform to fit with the theme of the Fallen, who most likely had to replace broken parts of their armor and had to upgrade equipment over time from simple wear and tear.

Didn’t expect to be done with it already, mostly just waiting for the next chance for using spray primer by collecting some more works in progress. But I remembered, I got me some brush on primer with my box of army painter paints, so I used that instead. Mixed with some mat black as a undercoat, and then I spend the rest of my Sunday painting along. darkening shadows, adding highlights, blocking out the whites, then the reds...

Tried out the sword effect for the first time. working from dark grey up to white middle lines, and then glazing with heavily diluted crystal blue, after drying helping the transitions with mixes of crystal blue and deep blue, and re highlighting the whites. + some blue drybrush after everything was done for some OSL effects with more blue highlights on close corners, facing the sword. I think it turned out pretty nice.

Guess that’s all to say for this one, some matt varnish to seal everything and knock down the shine of the quickshade washes.

The eyes aren't completely right but I don't want to go back and change it. I might do that sometime in the future

Just came to my mind Reyna probably has some knowledge about finances and financial management . Something that was said in BOO, in a conversation with Bryce Laurence about using the Legion's money . So Preators must handle financial issues as well, right?

She's a 16 years old immortal queen who can beat your ass and handle her money better than you.
