Precontemplation Stage
When someone doesn't believe they have a problem or they actively resist change. Strong defense mechanisms, blaming others for problems, or thinking if the other person changes it would fix everything.
Usually show denial, projection, displacement, rationalization, and internalization to defend self from changing.
When in this stage you can't make someone change, but you can increase their awareness to what has been going on.
