how i found stray kids:

so i always call my best friend at night, right? we were talking and then she sort of shrieks and goes- “JYP HAS A NEW BOY GROUP AND THERE’S A MUSIC VIDEO?!” we then watched hellevator together and it clearly changed my life forevermore. i remember jisung and chan and felix terrorizing me (although i didn’t know who they were yet haha)

how my blog began:

actually fun fact when i was making my tumblr there were some good urls open, like “strayk1ds” or “thestraykids”, but i was all noooo i can’t just do a variation of straykids because i like branding and stuff like that- so strayboys was born.

it was a side blog underneath another main blog before i moved it to an unused main blog of mine.

i first made content on jan 2nd! i think i deleted my first content post tho because it was ehhhh- but i remember getting 60 notes on my first post and i was amazed because my 1k+ blogs barely got 20 notes because of the egotistical fandoms i were in. they weren’t kpop, don’t worry. but this fandom is vastly different from the others i’ve been in- and i thank you all for that!

i remember getting 200-300 followers in my first week, & like actually having interactions with y'all… you all are so incredibly nice (and hilarious) that it hurts my heart 🌤️

i first saw stray kids while i was browsing through some k-pop music videos. I watched hellevator and liked it but didn’t bother going back to it (bad habit lol).

then in january (unfortunately exam season lmao), my good friend in a group chat of mine told someone to watch stray kids so he had someone to cry with. me, being the great friend that i am, decided to watch the show.

oh my god - what a ride. the rehearsals, the missions, the goddamn eliminations - it all felt strangle close to me.

i think one of the reasons i love stray kids so much is that jeongin is only about a year older than me, but he’s worked so hard and gotten so far, which led me to appreciate him - and all of them - so much for their young age. they’ve inspired me too - maybe to try taking my love for music a bit more seriously.

thank you, stray kids, for your dedication, ambition and warm smiles. i’ll continue to support you!

Bang Chan I’m so proud

Guys don’t get mad but this is a post specifically for my man Bang Chan because he just deserves the world. To have been training for 7 years while watching as all his friends went off and joined groups and got famous while he stayed left behind still training and losing spirit sometimes but not giving up. That is truly amazing. Bang Chan put Stray Kids together with his own two hads creating their logo and helping with their name, producing their music and helping with lyrics and sacrificing his sleep and comfort for the sake of these boys and their future. Not to mention when ot9 was looking like a thing of the past, he took the blame of it. I’m just so proud of him because look how far he has come with these boys, I mean they’re debuting now and it’s a totally different ball game but I’m so happy for them and I’m so ready for the newbies to come in and see how amazing each one of these boys are.

Takes care of the boys

Writes music for skiz and 3RACHA
