It’s been nearly 25 years now since my BBS went offline, but I still miss that world.  The Internet has changed life in so many amazing ways, but absolutely nothing will come close to that new, mysterious, and welcoming feeling of logging into a BBS.  The sound of a modem handshake will forever be burned into my memory.
