fallow field by KevinIrvineChi http://ift.tt/2yNLotH Chairs in the main auditorium of the Preston Bradley Center (The People's Church,) in the Uptown Neighborhood of Chicago, 941 W. Lawrence Avenue. Designed by J.E.0. Pridmore in 1926. These seats feature wire hat racks underneath. "This church, designed by a renowned theater architect, boasts a main auditorium that seats over 1200 on three levels. The sanctuary is noted for its superb acoustics – and for eschewing typical church design elements. The building was renamed in honor of Dr. Preston Bradley, pastor of the church for 66 years and member of the Chicago Public Library board for 50 years. From this building, Bradley was the first Chicago preacher to broadcast services, a ministry which reached a national audience of millions for decades—and inspired Guiding Light, the longest-running soap opera of all time. The small congregation is quite active, and welcomes other nonprofits' use of the building, including the Uptown Arts Center, Lakeside Pride Symphonic Band, and others. The building was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2000 as part of the Uptown Square Historic District." From http://ift.tt/2gKSnjs...

Rose laid in bed. The last couple of days have been drama filled. What was she thinking? She gotten into a fight with Carmen and Hailey. Hailey. She was engaged? She wanted Hailey to be happy but she didn't want to lose her to the East Side. It was what happened to her dad,he lost all of his friends and had to make new ones. Rose didn't want that for Hailey. She knew Cain would never move over to the West side. He loved being a Greaser and he had nice little cozy spot. She never understood how her father did that. He must of loved her mother so much, that he didn't care. She wanted a love like that,a love that consumed them both and made them not think about anything. Her parents love was so deep and it was still growing. Did her love for Preston grow? He was rarely in town most days. His grandmother was getting sicker and she found herself becoming lonelier Maybe that's why she was always bored. She hated the word lonely,so she substituted for it bored. It's why she always somehow journey to the East side to Rodney. Rodney. What they did. She couldn't believe it. She had became such a hypocrite. She pretty much cheated on Preston. A pain shot through her heart. What had she done? It was like she was slowly destroying herself. She was alienating herself from everyone who cared about her. She continued laying in bed. Ann soon walking in,she took a seat on the bed, stroking Rosalina's hair. "You okay? I could tell your being distant. I heard about Hailey's proposal You must be thrilled to be a bridesmaid." Rose rolled her eyes slightly."Actually the opposite. She is just too blinded by love to really think about the consequences " Rose stated. Ann did a small sigh."What's wrong with that? She needs her best friend's support. I didn't have mine, and nor did your father. It was why we ran off to Georgia when we first had you." Rose looked at her mom." You what?" Ann shook her head. "It's not important, but don't push her away. The more you push, the farther she goes." Rose nodded at her mom."Tomorrow,I'll apologize or whatever. But right now,I just want to be alone." Ann nodded kissing her forehead getting up."I'll call and inform the school. I'll send some soup up later." She said leaving the room and her daughter. Rose turned back to the ceiling as she left. "What am I even doing with my life?"
