It can be Terrifying

You're a prey kin

You take your dog outside at night

You (stupidly) decide to crouch on the ground and be a lil critter while you're outside, enjoy the night air

You sort of stop feeling human at all, you still think like you always do but something's shifted

In this moment you're effectively just a prey animal, as far as processing and instincts go

You hear a sound

The dog is coming, getting closer, you watch it

Your heart is beating fast, you're genuinely scared

You want to run but it will catch you if you do, it has a straight path to you

Trembling, you wait with bated breath till the dog is behind a tree, it can't see you

Finally you let into your instincts and sprint for the door of your house

and after that you have to remember to let the little guy in after you lol
