happy pride month to my friends in #queerstake! here are some fun Pride Cycle designs I made last year that @honestmormonblog tried to put on shirts but ran into problems with because of “file complexity” or something like that.

Helaman starts off with more fighting which is... awesome. Looking at the next few chapter headings though, that seems to be ending soon. I’m looking forward to more gospel doctrine chapters.
Helaman 3:27 “Thus we may see that the Lord is merciful unto all who will, in the sincerity of their hearts, call upon His holy name.”
Helaman 4:
And thus we see the pride cycle. In chapter 3 it clarified that this pride entering the church was not entering “into the church of God, but into the hearts of the people who professed to belong to the church of God” (3:33). This is a hugely important distinction. As the people become more prideful in chapter 4, we need to remember that the problem is not with the doctrine--it’s with the people.
What are my Holy Places? I’ve turned one of my desks into one. Sometimes the statue gareden is one.
comfortable and...
I saw where I was in the "pride cycle"
I knew trial therefore must come
Even if it was of my own making
Here it is and here I am
off to a poor start
Now and now and then
Did I think to pray? for
Strength to be found standing
On a ground that is solid
Now and then and then

@honestmormonblog @yo-gaymormon here’s the finished Pride Cycle shirt design. I saved it so that it matches the purple shirt-color on SpreadShirt (bc this shirt looks really good in purple) but I can redo it to fit any color.
but that’s not all, because when I was pulling the first picture from the British Library’s flicker account I saw another illustration that was too good to pass up...
so now we have two Pride Cycle designs for the price of one: Pride Cycle Classic and Ye Olde Pride Cycle. I’m still figuring out if and what text I would want on the Ye Olde design, but I know I want it to the left of the man’s face (incidentally, this dapper gentleman needs a name). here’s what I’ve been playing around with so far:
straight, simple, no-nonsense branding
or this flouncy, very-much-nonsense logo (the #queerstake lines up right with our fine fellow’s hands).
let me know what you think and I’ll adjust as needed.
staying anchored
I haven’t knelt enough Shown enough humility Nor felt it in my heart
Before things get too tough Get down upon bended knee There is the place to start
Then I will feel the love That my Father feels for me And find the better part
