#pride decorations

Made this a few weeks ago. Had a bunch of mini skeins in a rainbow of colors and knew I wanted to make a rainbow pot. Took a while to decide on what to plant in it before settling on this hand cactus thing and I low key kinda love it. A little creepy, a little cool. Wish I would have built a slightly bulkier internal structure but overall happy with the final product.

Starbucks denies claims it ordered staff to remove Pride flags from stores

Starbucks has refuted claims by a workers' group that it ordered staff to remove Pride displays from stores.

We literally noticed their pride flag window displays when we were out and about today. They had a really good selection of flags, including non-binary and genderfluid. We were driving slowly past to look at them, but it was clear they all had a placard underneath, presumably with information about them for inside customers. If we'd known there was controversy, wed have taken a picture.

@queerheadcanonoftheday is a sweetheart, and got some hate recently for the gender they coined, so here’s something dedicated to kyr!

This is my design for smolgender, the definition of which is “ a person whose gender is intrinsically tied to a sense of smolness (not to be confused with ‘smallness’), regardless of their actual physical height.”

Kye mentioned kyr use of smolgender was related to this idea of “smol” and thinking of yourself as such, so here’s what I came up with in regards to colors...

The pastel-ish shades were chosen because they gave me the ‘cute’ mental image associated with smol. The blue and pink are pale pastel colors that are often on things/characters called ‘smol’. The green is to faintly resemble beans, relating to the origin of the slang “smol” being used in “smol bean.”

Definitely the weirdest sounding flag colors, but I’m proud of them. I also did an alternate arrangement, but it looked really ugly.

The flag templates are from pride-flags-for-us! I’d love to hear from anyone who’s smolgender or interested in this kind of stuff.

Nubegender Pride Flag by Pride-Flags

Nubegender, or Cloudgender: A gender that is very similar to the movement of clouds. Some days, one's gender is completely clear, similar to being genderless. However, formations of different attributes will float into one's gender, moving across until out of sight, like clouds in the sky. Sometimes, these formations look like certain genders, and sometimes they are fuzzy and abstract. Sometimes they cover your whole gender experience and overwhelm it. Note: Cloudgender has another definition and was coined after this one, not knowing this one already existed. The corner of nubegender has since realized this and asks that THIS gender now only be called "nube" to prevent confusion.
