Guidelines:

Minimum wordcount is 333.

Only one bingo prompt per work can be used. EDIT: Two prompts can be used, but it doubles the wordcount to 666. (Adding prompts from other events is allowed.)

You need a black out (9 tiles) for a bingo.

You can request cards until May 31st.

Posting time is June 1st-30th.

There is no age restriction for participants, but respect other people's DNIs.

No ship or character hate is allowed.

This is for my @genderthings pride bingo card prompts "genderfluid" and "Ally Parent" | Rating: G | genderfluid Eddie Munson, Ally Parent Wayne Munson | WC: 739 summary: Eddie gets ready to take Wayne on a daddy-daughter day. AO3

Eddie stretched their arms above their head as the sunlight bled into the room. It was later in the day than they expected, but then they did stay up late last night talking to Steve. They smiled softly when they remembered the call; Steve was stuck at home with his shit parents but missed hearing Eddie’s voice.

They talked for hours, about D&D, their next date, and finally about telling Wayne they were together. Steve offered to be there, but Eddie decided they wanted to tell him on their own. Steve promised that no matter Wayne’s reaction, he wasn’t going anywhere and if Eddie needed a place to crash for the night, they’d be welcome.

It wasn’t going to come to that though; Wayne wouldn’t care that he was dating Steve. He might be annoyed they were dating a Harrington but that’s a different problem.

They checked the clock and realized Wayne should be back from church already; with a snort they flipped back the covers, determined to take their uncle out for a late lunch.

The sound of the kitchen sink told them their assessment was correct and Wayne was back.

As they stretched their arms above their head, wincing at the popping joints in their spine, they tossed back the covers, shambled across the room, and tossed their hair into a high ponytail. Eddie pulled on a black tank dress, and their battle vest. A quick check in the mirror and Eddie pulled on a pair of black tights before grabbing their combat boots, unsurprisingly they were also black.

Eddie tip-toed on socked feet around the corner and into the little kitchen and saw Wayne standing at the sink, washing his dishes. They slid on the tile, smiling widely at their uncle.

“Morning Pops!” Eddie called, trying not to laugh as Wayne startled.

“Kid!” Wayne snapped and threw the dish towel at them. “Nearly gave me a doggone heart attack!”

“Sorry, old man. Besides I figured after spending all day with the God fearing masses of Hawkins, nothing could scare you!” Eddie shrugged before tentatively asking the question that haunted them. “Was it bad today?”

‘It’ referred to the general distaste the members of the Hawkins Protestant Church had for Eddie and their existence at large. No matter what Wayne did, they went out of their way to be vile about Eddie. Especially when Eddie stopped attending in their third year of high school. Why would they want to spend their time around people who hated everything about them?

“Not too bad,” Wayne replied. “A handful tried to convince me to bring you in for a prayer circle, or an exorcism.” Wayne shrugged like it didn't matter, but Eddie knew the truth. Before they came out, Wayne's only real friends were from the church. Eddie couldn't help but blame themselves for the constant barrage of comments and scornful gazes the man had to endure.

“I'm sorry.” Eddie mumbled.

“It ain't your fault kid. They're the small minded idiots.” Wayne reassured. “I might skip next week, it's so much hassle. Hell, I’ll probably just leave the congregation. You ain't wrong and I'm tired of saying that just for it to fall on deaf ears.”

Eddie stared at their uncle in shock for a moment before bursting into happy tears.

“You’d do that for me, Wayne?” Eddie whispered.

“Course, you're my kid. Though, I’m gonna take a wild guess and say you're my daughter today. Is that right?” Wayne gestured to their outfit.

“Yeah, that's right.” Eddie wiped their eyes and an idea popped into their head. “Let's go have a daddy- daughter lunch!” They said excitedly and pulled Wayne to his feet.

“Hang on a second, I gotta grab my wallet.” Wayne shuffled back to the couch and shoved his wallet into his pocket. “Alright, lead the way daughter of mine.”

“If you do decide to stop going altogether, we could go on these kinds of trips every week!” Eddie exclaimed, already thinking about next time.

“A daddy- daughter day instead of church?” Wayne confirmed. At Eddie's happy nod, he frowned. “Shouldn’t we do it on your boy days?”

“What, why?” Eddie asked confused with their face all scrunched up.

“Because it's a Sunday. Father-Son. Get it?” Wayne grinned that shit eating grin that every dad in the entire world had.

“Lunch is canceled.” Eddie deadpanned even as they climbed into the passenger seat of Wayne’s truck.

btw i very much recommend watching her videos on youtube/tiktok/instagram. her creations are adorable, she makes a lot of cute pride items, and she is just a wonderful person from everything I've seen.

everything arrived in wonderful shape, and she included many extras in my order (pins and stickers in flags that i ordered in other items)!
