I just stopped by to say ........
Students at Hackensack Middle School wrote a resolution for the Pride flag to fly year round. AND IT PASSED!
Meet the students who convinced their school to fly the Pride flag year-round! 🏳️🌈
Last year, students in Hackensack, NJ were the recipients of one of our 50 States, 50 Grants, and are using the funds to host their school's first Pride celebration!
But in the meantime...they've been busy convincing their school to show Pride 365.
Read about it on the guest blog and apply for your own $10,000 for your school here through March 15, 2023.
Wishing everyone a Beautiful 2024 ✨

We support Black and queer 365 a year. But with Pride and Juneteenth in the same month, this is even more reason for you to learn about and buy from our own communities. Here are four Black queer and trans owned companies to get your Pride and 365 fits from! @mdiggsnyc @kxjapparel @showtelloakland @stuzoclothing #dapperq #queerowned #blackowned #queerfashion #queerstyle #shopindependent #ungenderfashion #degenderfashion #pride365 #pride2022 (at QUEER AF) https://www.instagram.com/p/Ce1yznsuXsT/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
Day 30 last day: the future of pride
We could make it more accessible by maybe having quiet calm areas of pride. Maybe a library or social hall or something because some people may not like the loud large parade.
We could have more online events like this one or a zoom or stuff in case you're closeted or you can't leave your house for any reason.
Stop the gatekeeping because everyone is valid. We're all in the same minority so stop saying aces aren't valid or enbies aren't valid or bi, omni, poly, pan aren't valid. They are all valid. It is possible to not have sexual attraction but have romantic attraction. It is possible to not be a guy or gal. It is possible to like multiple genders.
Maybe eventually there won't be many protestors for pride and we could just enjoy being ourselves in the open for a month.
Better representation in movies is a must. I know good lgbtq+ shows like Shera or The Owl House but where's the movies that don't focus on being gay? And it's always cis gay guys in movies.
That's all the recommendations I can think of now haply pride and the lgbtq+ party doesn't stop tommorow. All year long pride :D
