Hiccup is the Dragon Warlord of the Archipelago, feared by countries all over the world. When his campaign starts getting a little too close to the borders of the Kingdom of Hawthorne, the royals start to panic. They decide to send in Prince Jackson as tribute, in a hope to appease the wrathful viking.

But Jack certainly does not go willingly, not when he's heard all of the terrifying rumours of the warlord. Jack is shackled, and brought to the Isle of Berk. In his mind he is prepared to die...

But Hiccup Haddock is not quite what Prince Jackson pictured.

Okay so I’ve left this AU for a while now but I just watched a news item about the Queen’s Speech in England where she has to read out a speech about government policy written by the government, and all I could think is

Well I did. I said that. And a modern royal family may have to be apolitical in everything, but a private family’s still got free speech rights. Now picture King Bob sitting in some giant, gilded throne, reading out the speeches written by conservatives while looking like those pictures of Samuel Johnson

At some point during this AU they fight pirates or something. Not to give away too many spoilers, but Jack is running away from home and no one is supposed to know he’s a prince. Mark almost blows his cover, because he’s still trying to fulfill his duty to protect him.
