I don't remember if I have ever seen someone saying that Regulus Black wouldn't have a relationship with a non-pureblood because he's a blood purist, but i strongly disagree with that.

This man chose to sacrifice himself over Kreacher, therefore considering his house elf's life more valuable than his own. Which means that he made one exception for his ideas of wizarding supremacy out of love.

So if a half-blood from his enviroment had caught his attention, started to matter a little for him and eventually found a place in his heart, it wouldn't be impossible for Regulus to make another exception for someone so extraordinary that turned his world upside down.

And for me, that someone is Severus Snape. He had the most disadvantageous situation out of all the DE slytherins him and Regulus went to hogwarts with, and however he still managed to surpass every single one of them in hierarchy and as a dark wizard.

I guess Regulus Black would turn off a little of his prejudice in order to have a chance with the guy who knew more curses in his first year than most of students from the seventh year and who was creating his own spells at his sixth.

I guess Regulus Black would make an exception for someone who shows extreme devotion towards his loved ones.

I guess Regulus Black wouldn't mind falling in love with Severus Snape.

Idk why but i love shipping Snape with the Black brothers. Snack and snegulus appeal to me for completely opposite reasons but both of them are such good ships

Ain't nobody gonna tell me I'm mischaracterizing a man who was mentioned like five times only in the book.

If I want to ship him with Severus and Umbrige because they seem the more probable ships for a character like him, I will.

Regulus was a blood purist and a death eater enthusiast until Voldemort tried to kill his house elf. The man didn't repented about his blood purity ideals, he just fell out of this illusion he had for Voldemort. He wasn't no spy for the resistance nor the "destroy the system from the inside" man. He knew what he was doing

Regulus having this sorta weird whore-madonna complex about Snape it's utterly hilarious to me.

Regulus absolutely in love with Severus, with his intelligence, his ability in magic, maybe even finding his not so bright and bitter personality somewhat endearing, fresh even for someone who runs in the pure blooded circles and everyone wears a veil of pretentiousness and fake politeness. He would admire the proficiency of Severus in potions and creating hexes/curses.

But at the same time I think Regulus would loathe Severus origins. Mind you, we are talking about the man who joined the DE willingly, had newspaper cuts of Voldemort in his room out of admiration and by any account of Sirius, fully believed in the pure blood supremacy. So while he would find Severus and his potential alluring, I also think he would feel repulsed of this attraction. Almost in a Frollo way of thinking "she is a lowly creature, a gypsy, a temptress. she must burn in hell for the sin of being what she is... but she should be mine, and my only to look and have. to nurture me and put on a pedestal only I can reach"

Regulus would put minimum effort on defending him from any harassment made by other slytherins unless he has deemed it too excessive. He would probably be more defensive if he sees Sirius around Severus, no doubt, both to spite him and to mark territory.

So for Reggie, Severus would be this person he almost puts on a pedestal for his brilliance that one should touch, only to degrade him and get off on the idea of Severus accepting he is lower than him. So no one should touch Severus... But him"

Meanwhile Severus here always being on guard and defensive because he can't seem to get a rest by the Black family. It's either Sirius harassing him just because the git is bored and doesn't seem to find a better thing to do than bully him with his gang of brutes or it's Regulus with his weird... whatever the fuck he is trying to accomplish here by always keeping an eye on him.

I just, need Reggie to reflect that he was a Black too you know? To show that him growing up as a favorite did shape his mind and beliefs a lot different than his brother's
