Listen, i really want to get back to reading, but nothing is interesting to me anymore, uk? I don't want something educational (as in about political science, history, literature, whatever), I've long since outgrown fantasy novels, given how much reading i already have to do for my course i don't really have the time or energy for classics, and I'd rather let my brain rot than read self help books. Idc how this looks, but I'm SO sick of movies and shows that are supposed to 'represent' black or brown ppl, but just end up doing a shallow job that's praised as being inclusive. As a brown person myself it just makes me cringe lmao

Lykkk, u realise we don't just wander around complaining about how we're discriminated against and don't have any rights, and that we have a regular life beyond that.... right? It's different if ur actually going to examine those issues, but all they do is bring it up in the most irrelevant context ever, which just makes me cringe. For example, I'm watching the Falcon series rn, and my god i can't stop cringing. Bucky confronts sam about giving up the shield and sam says some shit lyk "u can't lecture me about my rights anymore"..... HOW is that relevant?? Bucky's dealing with his own issues related to this, that's absolutely not what he's saying at all. This happens multiple other times in the series, and it's only been 2 episodes atp lmao. It's insufferable and annoying

All u guys (directors and script writers) do is strip the character of any meaningful personality or just basic human character traits, and just make them mouth pieces for surface level complaints about rights just so u can look inclusive and pat urself on the back
