If you’re against adults choosing to get sterilized because they don’t want kids yet you call yourself prochoice or a feminist, are you really pro choice or a feminist?
I think the feminist and prochoice movements should focus more on people with uteruses having the right to choose sterilization.
It’s still incredibly difficult and stressful for people, especially women and AFAB trans people, to get sterilized if they don’t have kids and aren’t married, which is horrendous! If someone wants to have their fallopian tubes tied, removed, or their uterus removed, they should be able to. Doctors shouldn’t be able to force patients to keep the reproductive organs they don’t want or need, especially if those organs are causing them harm!
The reality is Black women choose abortion for many different reasons, and we should listen to and support all of them. We should make sure all decisions are affordable and accessible, from a variety of health centers, not focus on shutting them down. Listening to a community is the first step in understanding and caring about them, which is why anti-abortion advocates will never actually care about Black people.
Renee Bracey Sherman, “Anti-Abortion Advocates Don't Care About Black People”
People who use the argument that women are going to use abortion as their sole means of birth control and get repeat abortions
what
how
according to planned parenthood an abortion in the first trimester costs anywhere from $350-$900
why in the hell would I go for multiple
who the hell has that kind of money
that's how much my rent costs.
do you think abortion is just such a party that I'd pay that kind of money? where do you think that kind of money is coming from?
although, you are the same person who thinks I magically have enough money to pay for a child
so I'm guessing logic really isn't your strong suit
I mean, if someone has to go in for multiple abortions
they're paying some serious money
and probably have a serious reason
so let's not judge random people we don't know for making a difficult decision kthanxbai
