This squirrel attempted to jump a full six feet (yes, I measured) from a nearby bush to the bird feeder. Its first two misses were spectacular, so much so that when it made it on the third try, I let it hang out and eat as many peanuts as it wanted.
(I'm sorry I didn't manage to get the leaps to sync up, but I've already spent quite a lot of time turning the video into gifs that'll upload here, so.)

I keep seeing this picture and similar ones and it keeps giving me thoughts. Yeah I do agree with the message ! And these animals are hated by many peoole !! But let's be honest. These are still fairly conventionally cute. They're big eyed fluffy affectionate pretty intelligent mammals and birds. So today, I'm offering y'all my own version.
BE NICE TO ALL ANIMALS. INCLUDING THE ONES WHO DON'T LIKE BEING PET. INCLUDING THE ONES THAT AREN'T FLUFFY. INCLUDING THE ONES YOU FIND UGLY. Be nice to the weird ass critters too >:)
The American Girl Magazine Scan Project
I'm finally biting the bullet & working to scan every single American Girl Magazine issue that I currently have in my collection! I don't have every single issue, but I still have a solid chunk of the 2000s issues and that's not nothing.
I'm approaching this scanning project by scanning and cleaning in batches of months rather then by year. So instead of scanning all of my 2003 issues in one go, I'll be scanning every September/October issue I have. I plan to clean and upload all the scans in the batch before I move on to the next batch.

I would like to one day share the original files, including my original rough scans so people can make their own edits/adjustments to the original scans. However, the sheer scale of the project & the file sizes are much more data then google drive offers by default. If I'm able to find a suitable solution or workaround, I'll note it here.

I set up a side blog that will be devoted entirely to sharing scans from American Girl Magazine! Think of it as a backup to the Internet Archive upload: I can't upload PDFs onto Tumblr, but I can share JPGs of the scans. I can even tag them, so people looking for a specific subject or artist can do so more easily!
Help Needed
A lot of these issues were the same ones I used in my childhood, and as a result a lot of bonus materials are missing, such as the mini mags, posters or any stickers or posters. In some extreme cases, I'm even missing the magazine cover.
I've tried to make note of the pieces I'm missing both in the file names, the file description on the archive page, and on the list of AG Magazines currently in my possession. It's highly possible I might not notice pieces are missing until I'm scanning.
If you happen to have the missing materials/pages and you are gracious enough to scan it on my behalf, I will be in your debt. The missing material will be added to the uploads, and credit will be given to you as desired. You can find details on how to submit missing scans to me through this SUBMISSION POST!

Requirements
In order for the face acne to show up, please download Around The Sims 3′s converted acne face overlay here called “ATS3-makeup-TU-acnee-sims4”. (Thank you for allowing me to use your cc @aroundthesims!)
Acne System
Sims aged Teen to Adult will have a random chance of getting the new custom Acne Breakout moodlet that applies face acne at 6:00am every day.
By default Teens have a 20% base chance, Young Adults have a 10% base chance, and Adults have a 5% base chance.
Certain traits can also increase or decrease the chance of a sim getting acne by 5%.
Increased Chance Traits - Slob and Unlucky
Decreased Chance Traits - Neat and Lucky
Pregnant Young Adult and Adult sims have their chance of acne increased by 5%.
Sims will also get the Embarrassed moodlet, unless they have the Brave, Inappropriate, Insane, or Rebellious trait.
Sims with the Diva or Dramatic trait will take a larger hit to their mood when the Acne Breakout moodlet is active (-30 instead of -20).
Occults
Werewolves, Witches, Fairies, Genies, and Mermaids are half as likely to get acne as humans (Teens 10%, Young Adults 5%, and Adults 1%).
Vampires and Plant Sims have no chance of getting acne (vamps because they’re technically dead and plant sims because they’re… you know, plants). Pregnant sims of these occult types do not have their chance of acne increased.
All of these percentages are tunable in the XML file.
Interactions
- [New] Apply Acne Toner: An interaction at the sink that only appears when a sim has acne, gives sims the custom Feeling Fresh moodlet and reduces the Acne Breakout moodlet by 4 hours. This interaction can only be used once every 6 hours.
- [Additional Feature] Gussy Up: Using the Gussy Up interaction on a mirror has a 5% chance of removing a sim’s acne.
New Moodlets
Acne Breakout: Given when sims get acne, lasts 24 hours, -20 mood
Feeling Fresh: Given when sims use the Apply Acne Toner interaction, lasts 6 hours, +10 mood
Tuning
I wanted to make this mod as flexible as possible, so there are quite a few tunable values listed on the mod page under the spoiler.
Conflicts & Known Issues
This is a new script mod so there shouldn’t be any conflicts.
