“feminist” women who claim that trans women cannot be real women because they don’t have the biology are inherently giving into patriarchal standards and I’m going to explain why.
these women say that a trans woman cannot be identified as a woman because she does not possess the same biology a ciswoman does. okay, fine. that’s correct. but that doesn’t make a trans woman any less of a woman.
by excluding trans women from womanhood because of simply biology, you’re deriving all women down to only their female parts. you’re saying a woman is only made a woman because of her uterus. that is completely untrue.
women are much, much more than their biology. womanhood is femininity, deep bonds with other women, sisterhood, loyalty like no other, and so much more. we are not just our biology. we are not what men derive us to be.
so for a ciswoman to claim that you can only be a true woman when you have the biology is actively supporting a man’s perception of womanhood. that is disgusting. and it is not the feminist take you think it is. I hope you get well soon
