This may be one of my favorite and most useful spells I've cast. I'm an ADHD witch, with a particular knack for procrastination. Chores were always a bore, and ultimately I knew I wasn't living up to my potential. So I crafted this spell 🌞
Designed to be performed under the High Noon Father Sun & the Early Afternoon Warrior Sun, this spell not only brings focus to the task at hand, but makes chores feel more enjoyable.
Here's what you need:
cinnamon, for success, power & strength
cloves, for a clear mind
sage oil, for mental clarity
rosemary, for wisdom & memory
coffee, for motivation
black pepper, to banish negativity
honey, to sweeten difficult tasks
rice, to absorb excuses
Sun crystals (I like citrine & tigers eye)
a small jar
golden candle
Sun oil, or olive oil
dried orange peel, for happiness
Here's what you do:
Arrange the crystals around the jar before lighting the candle, anointed.
Fill the jar with listed ingredients.
Close the jar and seal with the wax of the golden candle, praying thrice, "Father Sun up above, Lend your light to me. Powers of Productivity are asked of thee. Focus & motivation are what's meant to be."
Charge in the sunlight, or under a Sun charged clear quartz crystal. Shake to activate.
OPTIONAL: Sometimes I like to push my spells into action by sealing them with an action of my own. In this case, if you tackle a project you'd been avoiding right after casting this spell (something relatively easy without too much negative connotation), the magick may get a turbo speed boost -- or at least that was my experience (I sealed my spell by reorganizing my dresser drawers while the jar charged outside).
I hope you enjoy and feel empowered! I'm gonna go out and charge up my jar after posting this.
This week hasn’t been the best productivity wise, however it’s been a fun one.
I’m still working on improving my pace of completing work and studying. I haven’t seen any progress but it’s only been a week so I’m giving myself time to get adjusted to studying everyday along with completing homework and attending classes. If anyone has any tips on efficient study techniques please do share (insert pleading face*).
Also, I finally watched My Policeman, and oh my lord it is gooood. The actors did an amazing job, and the chemistry between Tom and Patrick, I can’t say anything except phenomenon. My heart broke for Patrick and occasionally for Marion as well. Overall the movie was really good. If you haven’t watched it, go do it now!!
Char soon <3
PS - thank YOU for reading x
PSPS - these are some pictures I've taken during the week
Lavender. (Replace with your favorite herb, flower)
Lavender essential oil. (Replace with your favorite smell)
Salt.
Basil.
Carrier oil
Candle
Start by cleaning your ingredients and your space, both physically and spiritually. If you are doing this spell before studying, tidy up your work area and your notes, that will help too.
Take the essential oil of the fragrance you want and dress the candle. Please remember to dilute the essential oil with the carrier oil. On the paper write your request and tie it to the glass along with the rosemary. Now place it on a plate surrounded by salt, rosemary, basil and the flower or herb of your choice. Meditate for a moment and say:
“Nothing nor no one distracts me from my goal. Clear as crystal quartz the information is in my mind”.
Finally light the candle and place the crystal near you while you study.
I made another spell bottle, this one for my mother. She is working very hard in support of field hospitals in my area, and is stressed and upset by the crisis, so I made her an energy and motivation bottle in green.
It took a lot out of me to put intention on it, but I expected that, since I would give her my energy and work drive.
RECIPE:
- Moon salt
- Paper (torn small, from a work notebook)
- Rosemary
- Sage
- Ivy for steadfastness
- Mint
- Willow leaf (torn)
- Hand-drawn sigil for prosperity and work motivation (in green and gold)
- Wax-sealed and tied with gold string
- (I also put wine cork and eggshell mixture in, since I had some and she drank the wine and ate the eggs)
I put a LOT of energy into this bottle. I thought about every morning I could remember waking up, ready to be productive. I thought about walking away tiredness for the sake of others. She doesn’t understand my practice much and that’s fine; she was pleased with a hand made gift, and as long as she knows I care, that’s what matters!
A delicious potion with a complex flavor for a productivity boost in the morning!
Note: I have ADHD and caffeine helps me to focus on days I can’t take medication. While coffee works for me, it might not work as well for you, so take this into consideration when making this drink for yourself!
You’ll need:
Coffee - energy and focus (I used Hazelnut flavored but you can choose the kind according to taste)
Caramel creamer - focus and creativity (can be substituted for caramel syrup and milk)
Orange blossom honey - power and focus (can be substituted for orange rind and regular honey)
Sugar - energy and focus
Allspice - versatility
Nutmeg - energy and power
Cloves - energy
Ginger - focus
Cinnamon - activity
Chili powder - power
Cocoa powder - energy and focus
Vanilla bean - energy
Pour your coffee and add the honey, spices, powders, and vanilla bean. Stir counter-clockwise while visualizing a thick fog clearing away from your head. Drizzle in the caramel creamer and stir clockwise while calling on the power and motivation inside of you. Strain the coffee into another cup to remove the vanilla bean and excess spices and to add energy to the brew.
When you’re done, drink your potion while visualizing or verbalizing the things you plan to do for the day. (You don’t have to stick to whatever you plan, the important part is invoking the idea of getting things done!)
