The Exonauts are a group of Academy students who were personally handpicked by Dexter himself to be part of the EXO Initiative; a mecha program that involves 5 pilots to upload their consciousness into Exosuits to fight Fuse. Overseen by Rex and Lance, the EXO Initiative’s pilots are all from the same homeroom, including (left to right on lineup) Kayle Lucin (Zipstorm), Jimmy Abebe (Crush), Yingyue “Yue” Tian (Skyward), Ash Garrison (Phoenix), and V (3EYE).
This sideplot takes place 6 years prior to Takeover, and serves a worldbuilding purpose as well as to focus on some hypothetical “player characters” :D
