✨️ project nickel: just absolutely godawful eyesight. the inquest might have improved some things about their body during that period of being a test subject, but, hey, they didn't improve nickel's eyes! if you knock their glasses off they're pretty much useless until they get those lenses back on their face again.
fun fact! part of the reason nickel falls so hopelessly in love with yao is... hm. i’m not sure what to call it? idealization? knowing the person you were before all this would have found an endless list of similarities, of commonalities, with them? it’s i want what you have and i know i can never have that again.
