Ghoul Head-canon.
Dew has IBD. It’s fine, he can usually eat pretty much anything as he manages it through medication but he keeps his diet a bit blander to the other ghouls.
Mountain and Swiss being the den chefs will do group meals that they know won’t upset Dew’s tummy or Swiss will make Dew a less spicier dish or Mountain will make a separate sauce that’s not as rich as the others.
Sometimes he’ll have flares up that range from mild discomfort, his belly gets lil bulge (Rain and Mountain thinks it’s cute, Dew does not.):
Dew: It’s not cute! It’s name is Balthazar and he spit’s fire into my stomach.
Other times it’s a bad one and the medications aren’t enough to tackle it so it’s a stay in the infirmary to start an infusion. But Dew hates sitting still and it’s alllll day and he’s a busy ghoul:
Omega: No.
Dew: Pleeeeease ‘Meg! I’m so bored!
Omega: I said no Dew. The last time you and Swiss were in here during an infusion, you upset my other patients and you nearly ripped your cannula out!
Dew:…
Omega: Plus! I’m still finding post-it notes even when I think I got them all! How did you even get one in my computer monitor…
So he ultimately gets given the weekly injection that’ll help him stay in remission. He’s not a fan of it but better that then having to sit still for a few hours. Rain does it for him and gives his lil tum a kiss after for being so brave.
Rain: *kisses Dews tummy.*
Rain: There, you’re such a brave boy.
Dew: *quietly to himself.* yeah I am.
