Zendaya supporting Ayo 🥹
Jin Ha, Kara Young, Ayo Edebiri, and Don Cheadle taking their first Broadway bow at dress rehearsal!!!!!
Yall send me good vibes that I'm able to get these tickets for Proof and be able to go on a day where the original cast is there and not understudies ( no shade on the understudies cause I'm also really interested in the story but I really dig the ensemble and I really want to see Ayo and Don act live tbh)
our girl in the museum of broadway!!
proofbroadway: Some nights speak for themselves. Thank you, Zendaya, for spending an evening with Proof on Broadway.
I swear to GOD, every single time Ayo doesn’t get a nom, you guys have to scream and cry and thrash about it like as if it’s the end of the world & IM SICK OF IT. Kara didn’t get a nom (& she usually does) neither did Jon or Ebon (& they’re awesome performers) but y’all aren’t doing all that crash outs. Why supporting (while valid critiquing is so hard for some people to do is beyond me). It’s like the pattern I’m noticing, every-time she has something new coming out and it’s not getting the hype we wanted, y’all start tearing her down and talking about she’s not this & she’s not that… it’s getting BORING & STALE. You can support a fav (while seeing where improvement can happen) but supporting. Everytime she doesn’t get outward validation from her peers and higher-ups in the industry, then it has to be a ‘she sucks’ narrative. If you’re going to be inconsistent with your support, DONT SUPPORT AT ALL. Like, just don’t do it🤷🏾♀️ and I’m not talking about those that heard about proof snobs and their attitude was more of a, ‘well… another time. At least she had the experience.’ Im talking about those that ALWAYS have to make this an issue and start blaming her & using it almost as a gotcha moment like ‘I told you she wasn’t all that,’ kind of attitude. And IM SICK OF IT. There are a few popular actors that ppl absolutely adore & I think they’re just ok. To some degree, there will always be a level of subjectivity in acting. Such is the nature of the Arts 🎭 so let me give mine & use Ayo as my example since that’s who I’m talking about anyways. I loved the latter part of her performance in Opus but the first half was not my cup of tea. And the movie as a whole to me, personally, was also just OK. Didn’t hate it, didn’t love it either. See how I did that… my personal critique while pointing out what I liked as well. It’s not that difficult. I really dislike faux supporters. Support (while still rightfully criticizing as necessary) but don’t be weird and whenever the discourse comes around anytime she has new projects coming out & it’s not getting recognition like that start acting like she’s just oh such a horrible actress or something. Like don’t do all that… it’s extra. Support or DONT‼️
LIKE CLOCKWORK🙄
