I didn’t proofread because I needed to get this out fast but I hope it’s satisfying. :D
“Why are you dragging me outside?” Beca whined.
Aubrey rolled her eyes and wrapped her arm around Beca’s back.
“Stop asking questions and just come with me,” she responded.
It was late in the evening and Beca had just come back from a long day at work to find her girlfriend plotting something. That usually meant she would end up doing something she hated like going to hot yoga. She wasn’t in the mood to sweat or to fail at bending herself into positions no human should attempt.
“I just want to take a shower and get in bed. Wait, why are we taking the elevator up?” Beca wondered.
“Because,” Aubrey replied.
“That’s helpful,” Beca shot back.
Aubrey just shrugged and they were silent for the three floor ride to the top floor of their apartment building. When the doors opened they faced the end of the hallway with a line of apartment doors heading in one direction and a big door to their left.
Aubrey took Beca’s hand and pulled her along, just hard enough to make her realize she wasn’t getting out of this. Aubrey stopped in front of the big door and pulled it open, taking the stairs inside.
The door banged shut behind them, causing an echo in the industrial white stairwell. They took the one flight to another door, one that Aubrey apparently had the key to now.
She unlocked it and then pulled Beca through until chilly wind whipped at her cardigan and she realized they were on the roof.
“What the hell?” She turned around, looking for a clue. “Did you bring me up here to push me off the edge and collect the life insurance or something?
“We don’t have life insurance, Beca,” came Aubrey’s reply. She walked on, her blonde hair flying everywhere in the breeze. “Follow me,” she instructed.
Beca did as she was told, as usual, and tracked after her, now curious about the mystery.
When they approached a huge box like structure and then passed around the corner of it all was revealed. Before her Beca saw a table with two chairs. There was a small heater sitting to one side and a meal laid out on the surface of the table.
“Aubrey?”
“Just get over here,” Aubrey said.
Beca walked up to the table and saw the candles lit and the bottle of wine sitting between the place settings. Aubrey rarely did anything like this and never had she gone to this extreme.
“Listen, this was my idea but Chloe and Amy helped me. I just- We’ve been together for two years now and I’ve managed to get used to the fact that you never clean your dishes after you use them and that you won’t separate clothes into five different shade categories when you do our laundry. So, I wanted to ask you a question out here with the stars and the moon as my witnesses. Will you marry me?”
She looked away from Aubrey and up at the stars, letting the moonlight wash over her face. It’s full, bright surface calmed her and the stars winked their approval so she turned to Aubrey and took her hand.
“Yes,” she whispered, pulling her into a hug.

Took a break from sanding to check out what #Torbjorn looks like in a fancy white skin. The boots and extra bits are ready for colour, gunna try and do those first to give my fingers a break till tomorrow.
