Hey Pharloomblr-a warning about this person who's been lowkey stalking me.

I hate that I have to make a post like this, but this person's behavior is GENUINELY freaking me out and has made me feel extremely unsafe.

Content warning for creepy, almost obsessive behavior, proshipping, enbyphobia.

There's a good chance you guys have seen @/nitrodestroyer14 within the community, they've interacted with a lot of different blogs from what I've seen. Even this one before I made Phantom.

Since I made the blog, however, they've demonstrated a plethora of questionable behavior both before AND AFTER I blocked them from my main and Phantom.

They first disobeyed my rules MULTIPLE times after I called them out on it. I unfortunately no longer have the old asks they sent, but here's a screenshot of them disobeying my rules on one of @sentinel-second's posts, blatantly lying to me about it, and the conversation Senti and I had about it.

Later, after I announced Phantom was alive, they left some pushy comments on multiple of my posts (this is just one of them, from this post).

I blocked them on my main and on Phantom not long after this. They then proceeded to go to MULTIPLE places, including @pharloom-white-knight and @identitycrisisincoming's Pharloomblr community, to attempt to figure out my main (despite it being in my pinned post????)

This in itself HORRIBLY creeps me out. Please please please block them, and do NOT give them my information if they reach out to you.

A few additional red flags pop up on their blog, too. First and foremost, they're a proshipper, which I know many of you explicitly have DNIs for.

Finally!!!! Perhaps the most GROSS thing (given that they've interacted so much with Phantom)!!! Enbyphobiaaaaa!!!

Report and block them. Please.

Their presence and behavior makes me feel genuinely unsafe and horrified. They are not owed an explanation on why I blocked them, nor do they deserve one at this point.

Reminder that being able to interact with roleplay blogs is a privilege that can easily be lost.

"freedom to depict but only if i can jack off to it" is what they're about. they get uncomfortable when someone points out the allegories in deltarune because they can't jack off to them

Too many x-vials shippers will get, very understandably, very uncomfortable with foncest, even if it's from different AUs, but they won't even bat an eye at the fact that they're shipping a Gaster who is father to a Sans, with a Sans who is son of two Gasters

HO boy this one. Ok.

I usually try to avoid more "controversial" topics (if you can. call this that lol. at least when it comes to fern fans it is) BUT it does seem necessary. So here it is!

At face value, No, I do not like Finn/fern. I do not ship it and I actively avoid artworks or writing or anything related to it because it gives me this weird sense of dread I cannot place. However, my stance on the people who ship it is a little different!

For starters, let me make this clear: I will NEVER hate or harass a person for their ship. Even if it's one that I deem weird or possibly problematic (will get to that in a sec) I will never actively go out of my to hate on another person for anything. i will simply scroll away.

Now for my actual analysis.

FinnFern to me is a very complex ship. And so, in this analysis, i wil try to be as unbiased as possible so I can give you a more broad scope.

From what I have seen, there are Two major takes on the ship for people who enjoy it: FinnFern and Finncest.

I'll start with the easier one first.

FinnFern, from what I have observed, is mainly supported by people who believe that A) Fern is his own person and B) Finn and Fern are not brothers, nor do they see each other as such. It is a commonly held notion within the community (at least, that I have seen. This could vary) that if people do not like FinnFern because "Fern is Finn" then it is taking away Fern's identity as his own person and doing his character an injustice.

I'll be honest, i do not entirely mind these shippers. (Heck, i even actively enjoy the art of one of the people who ship these guys [when the art isnt finnfern centered] because they can be pleasant people! Plus they tend to have takes on Finn and Fern that are much more abstract that, from an objective point of view, are very interesting.)

Do I agree with them? No. But can I play devils advocate? Yes!

The ONLY reason I do not ship FinnFern is because I see them as brothers. I believe that when Finn said to Fern (something along the lines of) "We're like brothers! Or.. maybe even closer/more?" something like that lmao that Finn implied being like twins. A majority of FinnFern shippers INSTEAD see this as Finn having complex feelings regarding fern that may lean more towards a crush that he doesn't entirely understand.

The reason I see it as being more akin to being twins is that from Finn's POV, I truly believe that in his eyes, Brothers < Twin Brothers. Being twins is just LITERALLY more brotherly to him.

However, I can see where the people on the opposite side come from.

Finn in the show is very interesting when it comes to how he sees people, as we are well aware of. For the longest time, he actually didn't call Jake his brother! (I believe this to be because the writers hadn't entirely figured out their story yet lol but I'm going for in-universe reason here.) So, to a lot of people, him going through the pipeline of "oh he's alright -> he might be like a brother to me -> romance" isn't that weird because they believe Finn's idea of brotherhood to not be like ours. His perception of people and his relationships is a lot more fluid to them, espcially given the envoirnment he was raised in. and I can respect that! (I hope I'm getting their reasoning for this right lol i tend to avoid these spaces when I can)

I just PERSONALLY think it's a little odd to go through that pipeline, at least with my interpretation. So, overall, FinnFern is defiantly weird to me and I avoid it whenever possible, however I can understand where the people who ship it are coming from and I can respect that.

Now for the Other can of worms: Finncest

Unlike FinnFern shippers, these people genuinely make me uncomfortable and, also unlike FinnFern shippers, I don't have a lot of respect for their versions or takes.

I actively attribute this version of the ship to proshipping. Just typing the name alone sort of makes me feel off.

This ship has gone SO many ways but I'll try my best here.

Finncest = Finn X Other Finn

Finncest = Finn X His Brother

Finncest = weird combo of both

and I'm sure there's more.

The name ALONE implies incest. I couldn't imagine anyone shipping something with the INTENT of incest to be respectable. FinnFern shippers see them not as brotherly, nor as the same person. Finncest shippers, as I have seen, go against EVERYTHING FinnFern shippers are, hence why I steer clear of these people at all costs.

Now, I'll admit, the Finn X Other Finn doesn't bother me as much. YES I don't like At All that it takes away Fern's personhood, but it feels less problematic to me still. Though then again. I was an Undertale fan in 2015, so. I still DO NOT like it, I think it's also just plain bad writing, but whatever.

Do I even need to explain how problematic the other two options are? (This is what I was referencing above, btw.) It's very gross to me. FinnFern shippers at least make the argument that they aren't brothers, thus taking the problematic aspect out of it. These people entirely embrace it and THAT is what makes me so incredibly uncomfortable.

TLDR: I do not ship FinnFern, however FinnFern people have my respect. FINNCEST shippers get none of my respect and they are proshippers.

DO NOT, however, go and harass ANY shippers of ANY kind. Respect for them or not that is inhumane treatment. Just scroll away and block their tags.

i think that anti-proshippers and anti darkshippers should like... not harass pro/darkshippers? just block and move on brotato if it makes you that uncomfortable. it's especially bad when you say "darkshippers should die!!" you have the right to not welcome them into your space! they understand! but also! most darkshippers don't SUPPORT the things they ship!!! theyre trying to cope!!!! you're not making it any better by telling them to die!!!!!! you're not evengiving them a chance!!!!!!!!!!! silison! stop this madness
