Peace & Love, Black Family! It is clear that we have no idea of what a community is. While throw the term “Black Community” around like a frisbee, we have no f’n clue of what a community is or how one operates! Maybe the generations long before us, BUT NOT US! Where do we have social units with commonality that benefits us? Sure, we have places, norms, religion, values, customs, & identities that keep us CONSCIOUSLY ASLEEP, but NONE that have awakened us. Show me a community in YOUR CITY here in the 🇺🇸 where we are situated in a given geographical area? Would you say that WE “people of Afrikan descent” have durably good relations that extend beyond immediate genealogical ties? Or all of us distrustful and hateful towards each other? How are we defining our sense of community? Where is our common identity, practices, and roles? Our social institutions, family cohesiveness within our homes? Can we give our people work? Where is our government? Are we capable of building a society separate from the one we’ve accepted in the 🧔🏼‍♂️👩🏼 man’s world? Black folks will accept every challenge except one that will give us LIBERATION! I’ve said for years that these White 🧔🏼‍♂️👩🏼 folks want us in chains and if not chains—DEAD! “Getting on code and staying on code” means more than just supporting Black folks when we are “right” but also when we are “wrong”! It is our DUTY to correct each other—IN PRIVATE, NOT PUBLICLY! But many us have problems with correction, direction, and instruction! Peace and Love Black Family! Thanks to great ancestor Mother Dr. Francis Cress Welsing for the “Isis Papers”—that book is a must read for understanding of what I’m about to say. The relationship that Black men and boys have with their mothers is beyond words! Even if there is a man in the home, that man can never have the impact that mama can have over her son. Would you believe that the reason so many Black men actually swirl and have biracial babies is because their mama co-signed that 💩 early in life? She told that Black not that it didn’t matter who he brought home, and that she’d love whoever he loved! Like anything else, we can agree to disagree, but I think I got this one! 😉 No seriously! The influence you Black mothers have over your sons is amazing, and if you have anything valuable to teach him/them, teach them that being upstanding MEN who protect and build up his/their people is #1! If there is no man at home, allow and encourage him to study great Black men who came before him and study their blueprints! There is no excuse for avoiding this knowledge except you don’t believe it’s important! There are many things you can teach your son besides taking out the trash and washing dishes, clothes, cleaning up, or mowing the yard! Those things are important, but there’s more to being a man other than being handy!
