Zooble saying this to Jax is very significant. We know that from Jax's nihilism, he wants everyone to "stick to their archetypes," for example, to drive Gangle away from ever being happy, he torments her and literally breaks the mask that portrays her as happy(hence, "the sad one"). Another example is how he always makes sure he's being "funny" no matter the circumstance. Zooble is literally telling him the abillity to change (them not just being their archetypes) is OKAY. They don't need to commit to a personality. HE doesn't need to commit to his funny persona. He can change, HE doesn't need to commit to one thing all the time. Nobody does.
I may be reading in too much, though.
